I hate to bring up Halo, but it looks alot like the bridges on the "Assault on the Control Room" level

The way it looks to be contructed, it might be that a bridge with a lot of enemy traffic on it might be best taken over from-the-top-down. Perhaps a few Gal drops with a good number of guys with AV (who can shot down from openings on the sides and perhaps down thru the roof.

......Engineers ......to lay CE on the upper catwalks and lay out other PS2 deployables ..... HA, Meds, and MA to help assult and take the bridge....from-the-top-down. It might require a significant to major coordinated effort from any number of well-skilled squads.

It looks to me like there are some angular openings in the roof - as well as the upper side stucture(s) .....be they actual catwalks......or just part of the bridge superstructure.

I doubt they're destroyable. I don't care until we're well into playing this damn game. Obviously, there's gonna be a lot of new elements to gameplay. I'm trying not to complain about anything new or that appears different - until I see and interact with it myself firsthand.

The scale and the eye-candy are going to really distract me in this game. I hope I get the "OMG-look-at-THAT !" syndrome out of my system early in Beta.

TOTALLY BITCHIN' BRIDGE !.....based on this small glimse of it.

Wall of Sunderers with AA weapons on it with a line of few Lightnings behind that.

Nothing would get through that clusterfuck of AA

Am I crazy, or does it look like the panels above the guy can close the side of the bridge? At first it looked like a catwalk up there, but I noticed some gaps and what look to be pistons. o.O

I thought so too, which is not to say that this is a bad thing, seeing how in halo the bridge was a BATTLE, not just something to pass on your way to the battle . It looks like you could fit two tanks side by side on that, by the way.

on the topic of destructibility, I think it could be fun; especially if the repair mechanic is simmilar to whats in redfaction.

+ To some of ya guys who keep saying that any real, seasoned pilot won't be afraid of these freakin roofs(I mean, semi-tunnel), bring it on. Ya all will become the sitting ducks when you tries to come into.

The sides of the bridge are clearly open, Aircav will still have line of sight to everything on the bridge, libs too now that they have cannons.

Liking the roofs and the catwalks if that is indeed what they are. More options and freedom in gameplay is rarely a bad thing.

Run along the sides of tanks. Unless your a VS you can use them like a wall probably to block rockets and stray bullets. Especially since it's obvious from the image they expect a lot of vehicles and/or people to be marching across that bridge.
