Otherwise, a pure "vehicle kill" stat isn't going to distinguish between quad bikes and tanks.
Good point...I think ideally in one tab you should have a breakdown of how many of EACH vehicle you have destroyed, and have the ability to tab over to see it in terms of resources destroyed (/denied?).

Hardcore stats breakdown like that would be awesome.

Right, you might think it would be enough just to break it down by kills of vehicle type, but, I'm guessing that a fully customized tank might have cost its driver a lot more resources than a basic tank, and that should be reflected in a person's stats.

You did get credit for vehicle kills in the original, even unmanned ones. The K/D that was tracked on the screen only tracked player kills, but the in game stat sheet you could pull up had what vehicles you killed as well, and those kills were counted on sites like PSS.net. If someone bailed and their plane crashed and blew up before you could finish it off though, you obviously didn't get credit for anything.

To the other point being discussed here, if you don't want me using my Reaver/skeet for transport, then give me a low resource plane with no guns for that job. 99% of the time I pulled a plane in PS1, was to quickly get from A to B.

Ride in a Galaxy and be dropped off. Quads for personal transports are one thing, lone wolves being able to enter rooftops with full weapons is inappropriate.

I assumed we could use basic logic to discover that a cheap aircraft used for bailing purposes only would completely negate the existence of a quad, and to a degree the Light Assault class.
