I'm fairly sure they also mentioned that various objectives would disable certain parts of the base, like unlocking blast doors further inside or powering down the outer shields. Last edited by headcrab13; 2012-04-21 at 05:04 PM. |

Also note that the capture point icons in the pic above are green.
I'd say the Vanu symbol next to the base name means that they currently hold the base, and the green color notates either Vanu coloration (maybe red for TR and blue for NC) or it could just mean green = yours, red = theirs. |

Okay, you're probably just trolling, but in case you were being serious: Mao is the region name, i.e. the sector of the continent that the tech plant resides in. |

Agreed. I've mentioned before that I love the art direction the game is taking, and I'll say it again. It's beautiful. Popping the blues out on the warpgate give it the sci fi feel it deserves. IMO similar things should be done with the bases during the daytime to emphasize that even more. Perhaps somewhat like the color ribbon that bases had to indicate who owned them? The terrain palette in general also looks great and the contrast it makes with the greys/silvers/yellows of the bases palettes makes the bases look very outlandish, rugged and foreign on Auraxis. something that the original game missed.
