OMFG ARE YOU KIDDING ME? WHO DECIDED TO KEEP PS2 OFF THE STAGE BECAUSE ITS NOT A CONSOLE RELEASE.
Make an exception. If its not shown on stage than it's like it didn't exist. is it any wonder that Planetside 2 isn't in Gamespot's most anticipated games of E3? http://www.gamespot.com/special_feat...icipated-2012/ Seriously dropping the ball. E3 > than any other trade show in the industry. |

Pastasauce So, should we listen to the dog or its tail? Because right now they are telling us two different things. Or am I just misinterpreting the whole thing? |

It's not hard. It's also exactly why everybody was saying ahead of time that PS2 wouldn't have any presence at the press conference. |

Seriously Sony?
Planetside 2 is only gonna get a Youtube personality as their main way of advertising the game? This is a joke....Planetside 2 actually seems like it has potential...but I don't know how far it can go if some Youtube guy is the best they can do. Don't get me wrong I like watching total biscuit video's but gawdamn are they missing potential customers by not putting a little trailer on the Sony presentation. |

Its not really surprising. Those early conferences are usually to promote hardware (like consoles and handhelds) with exclusives. PS2 being a PC game will have to make due with just a booth.

That's 100% better than spending 10 minutes talking about the game to media representatives up on a stage and then releasing a canned trailer that will get lost in the mix of a hundred game trailers released around this time. Instead, they send those media reps home with hands-on experiences and awesome memories of the most unbelievably unique battle they actually played in. And those media reps write stories, and record podcasts and video blogs telling their viewers how awesome it was. So instead of sending the media away with the same story, they're seeding the media with dozens, hundreds of individual stories to tell, custom tailored to their own audiences. Sony Online Entertainment isn't putting 1 awesome Higby on the stage to tell the world about Planetside 2. It's putting hundreds of media personalities and reporters on scores of stages to tell the world about Planetside 2 over the coming months. That's press you can't buy with a CGI trailer announcement. No, actually, I haven't. What are you talking about? Is it some non-console game that got stage time during an SCE press conference? |

A announcement presentation will be way better...Not saying thats the only thing they should do and disregard streaming with totalbiscuit but their is reason's why they do them. They are a good way to hype people up...Just see halo 2 Presentation, that gave me goosebumps. |

Like every other convention, on Tuesday and Wednesday folks visit the booths that wow'd them on Monday. E3 started as an electronics expo and still the hardware drives the show, but everyone knows its the games that have stolen the show over the last few years. Last year BF introduced BF3 on stage, 2 years ago, PS introduced MAG etc... I know a lot of people who watch these announcements on various sites and their takeaway is what they're going to play this year. so far, I don't even know Planetside 2 exists if I'm watching E3 coverage on G4.tv. It would be nice if Sony and Microsoft and Nintendo stopped pretending that people enjoy motion controls and only consoles and started giving some PC spotlight. PC is where the real fans are. Console games are more casual, and thus less loyal to the companies. I think the Big 3 should stop pretending that PC gaming is dead. Diablo 3 sold 6,500,000 in one week. PC gaming must be dead.
