I think it was in the totalbiscuit podcast that they said the average is like 5 certs an hour, but some of those trees from e3 look like they needed dozens and 100+ certs. The squad leader tree especially looked like something you have to grind like a bastard to finish, so, yeah, I think a calculator would be nice.

Well, EVE's 'cert' calculator is entirely to figure out how long a skill plan would take. So it isn't unprecedented.

agreed calculators can only help the short build planning. Once we have the copre stuff tis easier to sperad a few spare points around.

Would definitely love to see one.
Will help me pass even more time before I can actually play with the certs for real.
On a serious note, it would be nice to see what they are envisioning as speccing heavily into a certain cert tree. Like what skills/advancements/etc. are available way way way down the Engi tree, or the Leader cert tree and so on.
