Right, because I said stop the presses!
Here is another all to common situation. Your an AA max, you are looking to the sky, you are moving to line the shot up, suddenly you pass right though and share the same space as someone. BAM, Flack based Grief points. There is also Max's getting killed by an infantry because they just went through them to escape the attacks. Last edited by MrBloodworth; 2013-02-08 at 11:32 AM. |

Yeah, but not the extreme stuff. Run an i5 2500k and 460 GTX, but got 16 GB of RAM thanks to Win 7 64bit.
Most people have 32 bit and thus only 4 GB. Many others still run duocore... Tried that at first, hellish nightmare ensued. |

This game is no where near strategic enough to enforce friendly collision. Until the game gives more reason to use strategy I don't see this as being an addition to the game that'll make it better. |

Yeah, I have 8gb of RAM running W7 Ultimate 64bit. I can't imagine trying to run the game with only 4gb of ram, much less on a dualcore processor. Even with my hardware the game is still iffy sometimes. They really have a lot to work on.

Question: doesn't being able to move through one another allow a larger force to have a greater influx through a chokepoint? In other words: doesn't it weaken the impact of chokepoints?
"Blocking" helps whoever tries to defend a chokepoint: fewer pass through at once, if they retreat they are blocked, thus risk dieing, the defender faces more guns more quickly. Of course this is in hectic situations only. |

I've been wanting collision back since they removed it as it adds a lot to the battle.
As Figgy said chokepoints actually become chokepoints and you wouldn't have enemies running through you to get a knife or cheap shot in. We shouldn't be just holograms on the battlefield as that's what it feels like now. You could have soft collision whereby you can move through friendly people if moving fast but you should not be able to move through enemies. |

With so many people in one place at the same time it'll never work having collision turned on.
If any of you who think it would have played CSS or anything like it and screamed and shouted at the screen coz some div has blocked your strafe you'll know why it won't work. I know a few people that would enjoy trolling simply by standing next to people trying to strafe in and out of cover just to piss them off. Don't you remember the frustration during Beta of people putting vehicles in the warpgate doorways?? it would be much worse than that with full collision enabled. |

going to have to agree with TRay, I can see collision causing more head aches than it solves
Ultima Online - When they split the server shards into PvP & PvE, it's their fault
