If they want to balance them, I think they'd need to make MBTs multi-crew and increase their armour. Otherwise they'll just nerf these launchers and make them useless, I can guarantee |

Overall a really good set of upcoming updates, i hope they get the model of the Lancer right + the distinctive cherchowww firing sound.
The prowler nerf is much need, ive lost count of the number of guys ive seen parked on ridges or hiding behind boulders and lobbing HEAT/HE rounds in lockdown mode from a mile away, farming infantry poping out of outpost spawns, only to undeploy and run a mile when they actually see another tank try to engage them, god forbid they should actually have to engage and fulfill their anti-armour role (AP spec Prowlers officially the rarest vehicle in the game /sarcasm off). |

Well that aside, some more great up coming changes in bound looks like. I'm going to be worried over NC once again having camera guided missile launchers and the VS getting sniper rifle version where once again the TR will have to put up with with tracking missiles that are affected by speed, lag, terrain and every other gameplay issue that's unintentionally designed to mess up, if this is case then I at least want the striker to be usable and lock on against enemy MAX's to balance it out fairly.

The Prowler has always had both its rounds deal 1000 splash dmg, at least as far back as I can remember. The Prowler has been the best MBT versus infantry since time immemorial. So, while I had no love for the Magmower/goat, they do have us on this one.

Two shots to kill infantry will now make the skill level required disproportionate to other MBT's. Who's shots have always had other advantages. |

I wasn't commentating on the possibility to one-shot kill infantry with the Prowler as I don't see that being as important as both of its round dealing the same indirect damage as the Vanguard and Magrider. Ever since I found out that, that was the case I have been puzzled as to why the damage wasn't cut in half like the direct damage. I don't really see why it would. 1000 indirect damage is often overkill and being able to fire two rounds that each deal 1000 was just even more overkill. The Prowler still has an advantage when it comes to being able to spread the splash damage over a larger area more quickly. I guess we'll see if I'm right in my assesment that this won't really affect the Prowler's anti-infantry capabilities, except for bringing it in line with the rest.

I don't think it will have a net change. I am just disappointed that users do not take the other advantages and disadvantages into consideration.
We seem to be on a slow march to remove the Faction differences. |
