Would it kill you to sign up on twitter just to follow Planetside 2 stuff? I did dispite having the same reluctance you do, and I haven't regretted it for a second.

Plus, if you are a sports fan, it's a great source of breaking news. Or if you like funny people, it's a great source of jokes.

Glad to see us vets who have spent $150 to get in beta, advertised the games to hundreds, gotten ~25 people willing to try PS2 are getting fucked over for people who tweet things like "hurr im canadian give me key".

Ever heard of the 80-20 rule? 80% of your money is from 20% of your customers. Those 20% are your core fucking players, not some random guy on Twitter who will probably never play.

The minute the beta is ready to go we will know here on PSU.

There are not THAT many veterans that are on top of this to overwhelm a beta program.

I do wish they would just announce the beta is up though!

Even if it says "active" that doesn't mean you can download the game. Maybe they're waiting to send vet keys until it's closer to beta-opening time. They've said all along that vets are getting in on the ground floor.

You people all need to stop freaking out over something that's likely nothing.

Just a heads up:

for the FB-keys: last round was gone in under 5 seconds. So be fast if you want one (I'm gonna say: script fast almost actually)

for Twitter: just be lucky that they pick your tweet and you get one I guess.

These are beta keys, not full game, you don't want poeple that will just play, you want poeple to test your game and give some constructive feedback.

And I can tell you, just some random guys from twitter and fb are not the ones that will test your game.
If you do this with the normal game I could understand it, but this is the fricking beta.

Do you think the guys you gave keys because they said "GIVE ME KEYS COZ I WANTS THEM" on twitter will test your game, NO!

This is just attrackting idiots to a game in beta stage, WHY??

Just first give the players that played PS1 keys (I'm not in there), then give the guys that didn't play the original game but want to help you test and improve your game (like me).

Get the CoD players here when you release the final game, not now.

DON'T SCREW OVER THE PLAYERS THAT WANT TO HELP, STOP THIS BULLSHIT!

I'm actually trying to get a key form my RL friend who is at work now, I told em I'd do my best. Would be cool if we would both be in the Beta.

What really sucks is that I got a key from twitter that never worked. I tried tweeting them back about it but no response so I think i'm screwed now.

Remember you are gonna need his account details. It's hard to "hog these" keys for friends cos they go so fast that you will already have to be logged into the account as they get published if you wanna get in.

It seems I was real lucky if that "5s and they are out" is true.

I personally wasnt gonna even try and just trust the PS1 vet thing, I mean I even have sub running at the moment. However that comment on Facebook decided I wanna try, I mean.. theres not that many ways how you can interpret this one:

"That magazine just gives you priority access. These are Beta keys that get you in."

Unless they simply just had someone on facebook who doesnt quite know what they are talking about. I'm sure they havnt forgotten their vets. I'm dead sure vets get into beta, but as it is, it seems these keys get you in before vets might. Chances are many/most vets get in at the first wave too, but it was said that not all vets will get in at the same time.
