In the future everyone will use the metric system...mainly because everyone (except one notable country) uses it now.

Looks ok. Now implement a toggle for it.

Actually it would be hard to tell in aviation because the only thing every system across the globe has in common is they all take different units from different systems of measurement for different things. About the only thing all systems have in common is knots as a unit of speed and feet for altitude. And if it was't for GPS we would have to deal with all of these separate systems on top of instrument errors.

50 notes that PC is behind a super firewall, or may even not be connected to the outside world.

Also until the game is 95% complete they don't want to give to much away.

Thank you guys so much for making the minimap actually useful and readable. The BF3 style blue monotone was horrid.

That cockpit looks neat. I hope they are forced, otherwise everyone will just turn them off anyway.

I've posted in the other thread as well but the cockpit takes up like 1/3 of the screen. I'd much rather it were a bit smaller and we could see at least a little more of what's going on below. I understand it's not realistic to have a full view of what's going on but that's a hell of a lot of screen real-estate taken up by what is essentially a HUD.

That seems to be the approach they're taking. I love them for having the guts to do it that way instead of just using the flying video camcorder that most games have. I could see adjusting the view on this one a bit, but I love that it's there and people will actually have to use it.

Yes, I love it too. It shows their dedication to making an awesome game. Those guys (and gals) really put their hearts into this project and I sincerely hope it will be a huge success.

Are you pouring water all over it to get that extra shiny effect wet things seem to have?

Well, the main component may be water, but I'll bet it ain't water he's pourin' all over it

Sweet screen! Nice little minimap that, and the hud is smexy.

Does obscure a lot of view, maybe could be tuned down a bit? But of course need to see how it feels first
