Very good job on the new design, however:

1. Slideshow needs to be tuned down though, it eats too much of the screen real estate and isn't laid out in such a way that it's design-critical. Make it smaller!

2. Get rid of the "Teamspeak" window. If you absolutely must have a TS-viewer, just implement the statistics module (ip / ping / number of users online). Alternatively, see #3.

3. For the 4.1 release, turn the different "categories"(VIP Posts/ Media / Wiki Activity) into accordions so that you can dynamically load the data into them. This would also make it possible to fill up the sidebar with alot more user-related content (and opening up for some widgetz!).

4. Use the grey/black versions of the social media i-frames instead of the white ones.

Other than that I can only say: Awesome job guys, keep it up!

I like, especially the big 'forum' button which mean that when I am browsing from my tablet I am more liekly to hit it .

The reply button on the forums looks a little out of place, thing it is the grey borders.

Also, would it be possible to include the posters name in the VIP section on the front page?

Your name though could use a little something to make it stand out, it kinda fades into the background with the gradient to dark especially.

Talking of names, Hamma's/Gryphon's green names look terrible with this colourscheme, while Mani's/Jenny's pale blue and THrONe's/Malorn's yellow look awesome.

thanks to all involved in psu for putting so much love into the community!
using firefox and found no major problems so far.
the picture on the homescreen could be a little smaller, but that has already been mentioned.

to all the retarded vs who want purple on this side: check the official ps2 site! psu now has a very similar color scheme and this just feels right as it is!
when i opened psu today, at first i thought i clicked something wrong and went to the official ps2 site.

i love the new clean look without the hundrets of links cluttered at the top! had to look for some things first, but it´s very intuitive and everything seems to be where it is supposed to be on a modern site!

and congratulations on holding your own deadline! psu has its new design before beta started! too bad the post-count will drop extremely for the closed beta time. but when beta is over, psu will once again be the only place for any serious planetside player! ready for the future!

edit: just found something i would like to see improved.
your pic viewer had the nice option to click on the pic to get the fullsize view. i would like to have this feature on the pic-library. example: when i click on the twitter lib in the homescreen-pictureframe i want to be able to see the pics in there at maximum size. but i can only open the pics in small overlay windows.

I love the new look. After 9 years, a change was definitely needed. I can't believe PSU is still kicking around and Hamma is still here running it. 9 years is longer than most marriages last (including mine).

I only just realized the lack of sigs in here. It's so nice...So much nicer to read without a spam of irrelevant images. Anyone agree?

They've had threads before where sigs were disabled. I remember a few cases in the past.

As for the site feedback. Looking nice! I like the uniform look with PS2 UI. I like the detailed touches in the right of the screen where the teal or whatever color isn't perfect but is "smudged"/scratched/something. Perhaps that could be added a bit more or something so that some areas of the page would look a tad more "lively".

I noticed that something regarding the forums functionality had changed. My phone acts a bit strangely with the forums now, but for some weird reason I still can't use tapatalk on these forums with my phone. Never could, still can't, in other places it works though

although I miss the in-game model banner in the top. Perhaps we could have some PS2 models up there?
