I'm sorry, but this is just fucking silly. This kind of drama is just immature attention whoring. It really sounds more like burnout more than anything else though.

The fact of the matter is that there really isn't another MMOFPS quite like PS2, so these people can scream and run away to play some other genre, or they can stick around and let their voices be heard and help try to implement the changes they want to see. This boycott crap is just childish.

I think the argument would be that he wanted more out of PS2. The talk about PS2 was that it is a AAA-quality shooter. Truth is... it isn't. It's good... but we hoped that what would put it over the top was the scale and the as-til-now missing "other" features.

If you want the 64 player battles... and potentially more with BF4... then those games will offer a better experience (and I mean that, as compared to a similar sized battle in PS2).

1) Buzzcutpsycho and TE were simply in the wrong server. Waterson is where it's at. I've seen them several times on my lowbie NC alt at Mattherson. They would be a better fit in Waterson. Mattherson is messy, disorganized and the fights are not too heated.

2) The Devs coddle the Vanu too much.

When I log in to my lowbie Mattherson alt just for that daily free log-in cert, Vanu has massive population advantage over there. This just doesn't happen in Waterson b/c of NC diehards won't allow it. Yet for all that little numbers (~28%), they still do way too much.

I'm still waiting for MLG to force the Dev hands on balance. Until then, I'll wait for the MLG balance debacle

. Pros will instantly know the faction balance in one day. Anyone heard Higby saying Vanu would only use OP stuff? A better way to put is Vanu has so many good things when they see something average, they think they are getting a raw deal and the Devs are out to get them

Oh and I forgot. I heard, the Goons, who were formerly NC at Mattherson, has switched to the VS. Enough said

3) Buzzcutpsycho is the prime proponent of the No-Deploy Zone for Sunderers. Yet 3 days ago he posted this video just farming Sunderers spawners with an OP Harassers (What did I say weeks ago? Harassers dominate parked Sundies).

It's safe to say whatever his qualms are, are unfounded or obsolete. Those Sunderers have every reason to park there and are not an unbalanced threat.

The gameplay does not demand the Developers affix an arbitrary no-deploy zone for Sunderers for very little reason, whatever that is (reduce spawn camping? they aren't saying).

If they are really going to do it. Limit it to an unobstrusive 5-6 feet radius. Anything bigger doesn't improve gameplay but limits it. The bigger it is, the bigger the limits to gameplay. Imagine a no-deploy zone across the whole continent. Half the continent? One fourth? One base? You get the idea.

4) They ought to release the server transfer tokens unless they are afraid the tokens will further exascerbate the population imbalance. If it's doable and ready, they should release it already.

all i can say is it's a modern mmo and they change all the time. i have played enough mmo's and FPS's to know this. i love ps2 and only get frustrated over players more then the actual mechanics. it will never be perfect as no MMO is. but it will be fun and as long we keep getting new players in and keeping them it will be good. i try to spread the word as much as possible through streams and youtube ect.

this game will keep evolving and things will always change. we should think our selfs lucky we have such a great Dev team that listen to us and change things for the players. 99% of other games would ignore us and do nothing.

bottom line is if you dont like it dont play it.

Theres a lot to be said for up on realizing your ready for a different game, attention whoring and pretending your exit about an issue.

EDIT: And then later when your really to come back pick change that occurred while you were away and and claim its because of you.

just because one person leave and happens to be the no.1 player on PS2, doesn't mean anything.

i for one love this game, and didn't most of the stuff buzz want in the game already implemented? (lattice...) anyway, this game still has alot more work to do, i'm sure he'll be back in a couple of months time, with "oh yeah, i remember when this happened and then there was this and that... that was awesome!" then there he goes, hops back into the game.

i doubt that many of the Enclave will leave, i'm sure that they will continue playing, and that someone else might take lead.

The reason it seems like the VS out pops the other factions is because of the whole 'ZOE is OP' thing..weither you think that or not...the VS pop rose very high because of the 4th faction switching in the game..before we actually had the least amount of players in the game but after ZOE was put in our pop sky rocketed.

Dude, I am certain you should be the first one to stop playing because everyone can´t stand anymore you whining that the skyguard should instant gib air units.
Buzzcut did what he could do to the game, the developed did accept most of his demands...
He is leaving because he can´t stand playing a beta game, where the developers have no idea of what to do with the resources/weapons/vehicles, and that hurts who are playing the game.
It is real bad to buy a shotgun, master it, just to see it nerfed into oblivion on the next patch.
But don´t worry, the PS-4 version of the game will be great, because until there, most of the beta testing will be done.
Lots of times I think of doing the same as Buzzcut, call me next year when we can call planetside 2 a complete game, but my alpha squad is expiring and I can´t waste the last days of it.
I also do not plan to renew my subscription, I must understand what most players fell about resources so I can plan my strategy to fit then.
I don´t know what kind of leaders your outfit got, but on mine, if I tell then to not play on may 4th, they won´t play.
Today most of my outfit members were playing warframe or world of tanks, there are plent of free to play games on the market, and most of then are less p2w then planetside 2.
