gotta watch the kids who had metal shop and would make octagonal steel pencils, paint em yellow and stick an eraser on the end.

I even stamped the correct lettering on it.

Sorry you guys spent too much time indoors to have a real childhood, but thats what kids do, toss paper wads and skittles at each other. I think most of us here would be dead already if we had taken the beating of a lifetime each time we hit someone with a ball of paper.

Kids also get in fights. It's what kids do. No one was seriously injured here, in fact the kid looked like nothing had happened when he was walking off the bus. Had he walked away with a broken jaw, two black eyes and a shattered nose then yeah I'd say it out of line. However watching the tape it looks like maybe one of those punches connected solidly and even then the "bully" couldn't have had much power behind it judging by the way he was punching.

The reason it went on for so long is most likely due to frustration that once the kid was on the bus seat it would be very hard to penetrate his defenses and actually land a punch. Especially if he managed to get his legs to help block. On a side note once he was on his back on the bus seat things could have escalated rather badly. One or two good kicks to the agressors face and I have a feeling it would have been over.

Anyways, now that I know what started it, the kid who got the "ass beating" throwing shit, I would have done the same thing. You're right, sometimes friends throw shit at each other as a game of sorts. I saw nothing in there to indicate these two were friends. What happens when one young male teenager throws shit at another young male teenager he's not friends with and annoys said person? A fight.

That guy must hit like a total bitch, cause he landed at least 25 punches and the guys just walks off the bus like nothing happened. Shit, his hair wasn't even messed up. In a real fight, 25 punches is putting someone in a coma.

Pencil fighting was mad fun, but you had to make sure the pencils were real wood, not the pressed wood, and also you didn't want the "wood colored" pencils because that plastic shell of paint was invaluable.

Bloody knuckles was my game of choice though. As long as you got the first hit in, it was impossible to lose.

oh and when I was little, the big thing was staring contests, you didnt have to wait till lunch or on the bus, the best matches were during class

I remember practicing by staring right at the eyes of the poster of Bush Sr. on the wall, never did beat that guy.

Honestly, if that kid threw a paper at the "bully", what does he expect? Does he think that guy will just ignore it? Things like that really tick me off. He got what was coming to him. He's lucky the bully wasn't stronger. If he was, he could be out cold for a long time. He walked of the bus fine. If that were a real bully, he would be unconcious or in a coma. Both eyes would be black, he'd have a broken jaw and nose, and he'd be limping for a long time. That kid brought that upon himself, and he's lucky that the bully wasn't stronger.

Umm, watch the end of the video? The kid walks off the bus appearing no worse for wear. He doesn't look dizzy or lightnheaded. There aren't any visible marks on him. He's not bleeding. Hell, he doesn't even look shaken by the experience.

Yup, those things don't always load all the way. You're right, could have been bad but turned out it wasn't really a big deal at all, the class needs a new bully, that one sucks.

edit: My issue here before I saw that he was fine was the apparent over reaction on the part of the bully, the kid deserved every bit of what he got for being a dumbass, witch wasnt much, judging from the video's ending.

Eh, who's to say he's the bully? For all we know the skinny kid had been throwing shit at him for weeks and the kind finally just snapped. In this case we know far too little to make any real judgments other than that kid can't throw a decent punch

yes it happens everyday, not in the same place, but somewhere, its just that the news just happened to find this, and broadcast it to the world. i bet it does happen everyday in sweden, but you just dont see it.
