I'd go, but only if I could be on the front lines, in special forces.

So many people I know(most of them are around 15) say that they're going to join Delta force, or the Rangers or the Seals. The chance of you, or most people is minimal in getting in.

Not happening.

SF Soldiers are insanely elite, and train for years.

Well you apply for special forces training (if you enlist not drafted) in boot I believe. if you pass the testing your in.

There are chances that a draftee can go into special forces after receiving recommendations from his C.O.

My dad's best friend was in vietnam his draft number was really low like 13 or something. so he enlisted in the marines. (saying his number must mean it's fate) He retired as a Lt. Col 2 years ago.

Yup, i hate these retards that say "DUDE, IM GONNA JOIN THE ARMY AND BE AN SF SOLDIER". The chances of you being an SF Soldier are insanely low, pick a realistic goal.

yea, I know a guy who was in Special Forces, I dont know if Ill get there, but I could go airborne, or delta force or something. I have a high endurance and thats all that matters most of the time in training.

I would much rather be away from battle, but if I had no choice my preference would be to go in as a sniper.

In order to be a Sniper you'd have to go through Infantry first.

And to be a sniper you need VERY good aim and depth perception, along with other things, most of the people here, I'd say would be fit to be a chef. If that.

If you can be a sniper thats great you got a very important job. But you have a higher chance of dying then a regular infantryman. a sniper is behind enemy lines with his/her (even though I haven't heard of women snipers outside of the russian WW2 female sniper aces.) spotter doing recon on enemy forces and doing serious moral damage to the enemy troops.
