All the TR stuff looks rad so far. Although the 3D model isn't finished in that pic, it looks like it's shaping up a bit different than the drawing. I'll wait to see the finished Rexo before I give it my stamp of disapproval.

Very nice, I think that TR shot looks sweet!

Im guessing straight TR week, simply because its on of the first TR shots we have seen and I dont see much customization going on. Maybe its all about avatars, who knows..

It's funny how Higby likes to keep us guessing. Like some kind of sick joke he gets pleasure from. :P

Anticipation whets the appetite.

"Whet" means "sharpen" not "satisfy".

It also doesn't mean "wet." A whetstone is for putting a very fine point or edge on something. It does not mean that oil, water, or some other liquid is supposed to wet it before use. It is also a mathematical operation used to check computer CPU processing capability. Some clever guy came up with another operation known as "dhrystones" also.

You just can't make this stuff up.

From Wikipedia:

The Dhrystone benchmark contains no floating point operations, thus the name is a pun on the then-popular Whetstone benchmark for floating point operations. The output from the benchmark is the number of Dhrystones per second (the number of iterations of the main code loop per second).

Fingers crossed that that's not required to use heavy assault or it can be customized to look halfways decent.

It looks amazing for a heavy assault player. I'm surprised anyone would be against it. You've made a lot of posts with your opinion, but I can't figure out why any TR player would be against this look. What did you expect from a heavy assault class?

Gun metal gray with red looks absolutely amazing. I hope VS has a similar design with large sharp scale armor.

Perhaps not. But they can be ignorant, ill-informed, illogical, immoral and/or prejudiced. Or D) all of the above. It really depends on the opinion.

It looks terrible; how are you surprised anyone would be against it?!?!

I expected Rexo from Planetside 1 that looks cool, not some global agenda armor copy cat that looks lame. If I wanted to look like a max I'd use maxes.

And the color scheme sucks. I like red / black, not red/greyishwhite.

On the positive side of this, this has made me embrace the lack of third person!

It isn't Red/Grey/White. It's red and grey with white shine and highlights because the drawing up there is very washed out and over-bright.

Take a look. All the white is highlight and sheen. White would just be a five-mile target marker sans pareil.

Gotta say I like the TR heavy armor, but I am sure you'll be able to customize it to your liking Bags. I can see what you are saying though, it did remind me a bit of GA.

Just have to see.

Higby: "Do you want to play a game?"

And Bags you're the only one who hates it xD

I don't think we've seen enough of it to make a final decision.

It looks like a proper piece of powered armor, capable of wielding Heavy Assault weaponry. The concept art helmet looks stupid tall from the eyes up, though.

Assuming that the 3D model is derived from the concept art, and looks nothing like it, I think we can feel safe.

It could also mean the the MAX units are nothing like their concepts. :<
