pppfffff headphones. It's all about 2.0 speakers, man.
I've had the same pair of Altec Lansings for 15 years and they're still the BOMB DIGGITY. Sound better than any piece of crap headphones you could find. Also headphones are annoyingly uncomfortable and destroy your ears |

on the picture: it does look like an gauss rifle modified with an longer barrel and an long range scope.
on the matter of headphones: im in the process of looking for a good solid pair of headphones for music and gaming (PS2). i run an Creative SB X-Fi Xtreme sound card btw. all the talk about such things make my eyes cross and i start drooling |

it could be that, you know how most games these days like to start snipers with more auto weapons before they give you the real sniper rifle, the infils starting version could be a modified gauss, that has like a 10 round semi auto mag, but only does like 30hp or so per shot.

Also, is Harman (AKG) a good brand? I'm asking because they make factory hi-fi upgrades for BMW. :P |

If you'd like an educated opinion of the specific model you have I strongly suggest heading over to www.headfi.org and do some searches on their forums. Denon's a big brand so I'm sure you'll find some good info there. In fact, this thread might be a good place to start since there are a few models of Denon IEMs reviewed in there. Amps? Really?
My god, why? The Signal from ya PC is what you get, a AMP isnt magically improving it. Its just changing some Frequencys around a bit, but i can do that with software, better, and still have more audio quality as my wires are shorter = less potential outside crap coming in. |

Depends what kinda amp it is, I guess. Some (but I think they are usually referred to as pre-amps or audio interfaces) are actually just like.. external soundcards, so it wouldnt technically be "what you get from PC", cos having a better soundcard do the processing instead of the onboard crap can make a huge difference.
