Kinda like the F2000 Cos at least the Gauss has a very visible ejection port, would be weird if they just "forgot it" EDIT: Hmh, Gauss has actually changed fairly much between screenshots. The NC turntable video has a very visible ejection port, but no screenshot has that. Also, you can witness some pretty noticeable differences in the earlier pics to the later pics in terms of the frame of the gauss.

That doesn't explain vast differences, but would cover small stuff.

Check out the sawed-off / carbine version of the old Cycler in the foreground. Sure it doesn't make sense, the lower piston tube/gas tube isn't connected to the barrel any more. But it looks cool. Or it could be the holy grail for you twin-barrel Cycler advocates. Yes, I'm still assuming this is a scrapped Cycler design. It showed up in only TR hands in older screenshots, has TRs smooth styling cues, and is of course branded TR. I wonder if any amount of pleading can bring it back? At least our main assault rifles don't look like chunks of metal glued together.
Yeah, I'm still annoyed by how weird and boring this thing looks. The Gauss looks like a modernized Gauss. This new Cycler looks nothing like the cool looking Cycler of old. |
