I deleted my Facebook account a while ago and won't ever be creating another. Hopefully there are some official iOS apps and similar functionality on planetside2.com, eventually.

Well, apart from the possible total 72$ prize money, and the exclusive empire weapons (looking at the names, most probably just reskins, no worries), not much you'll lose out on if you're not using Facebook.

I understand why they do this, but it's kinda disappointing. Why not just set up a video with a referral in the URL? That way people that share stuff outside of videos can be rewarded as well

Basically FB takes where you are located on FB and just colors states and countries depending on majority. As of right now only outside country other than Canada/USA with color is UK at NC blue. You can hover over states to see the percentages.

At the time I last looked, I had succeeded in making Utah 100% purple, although admittedly I'm a native to California.
