It didn't seem like they were too squishy to other players, it seemed like they were really squishy to the ground. OP GROUND NERF NOW.

yes you will be able to land all the air vehicles.

some towers and bases even have landing pads for them

I think it's more of a problem of people landed too fast at bad angles.

^ yes and also I think there may have been a landing gear function that either wasn't being utilized properly by players who just jumped on and total experience was 0 with the game (makes sense, if a manual function) or it may have just been a bit buggy and needs to be worked out.

That's the thing though, it didn't look like they were going that fast or even at odd angles. They were just hovering down and BAM! there goes 15% of their health.

I find it highly unlikely that you can't land aircraft. How would you repair it? Every vehicle looked like it took 600% damage from non-players in the beta, not sure what that was all about.

Some of the customisation they have mentioned requires the ability to land (such as the Galaxy deploying into a spawn point).

I think they're still tweaking environment collisions, some tanks just scraped around a rock and got 50% damage.

Essentially this. If you've watched some of the slower-paced streams from Higby, they have landing gear animations that trigger when you get close to the ground, and proper landings don't do damage to the aircraft.

The people who died while landing were among those who kept flying into the side of the AMP station. I don't think their mortality rate is representative of how vulnerable the aircraft will actually be

Oh so there is landing gear. That's really odd because in the E3 stream I just saw everyone plop down and take the damage and no gear poped out.

higby landed a reaver (badly, seeing as it fell backwards off the tower after he got out

No. The game is a giant troll. They are making aircraft that are impossible to land because they hate gamers and don't actually want anyone to play the game.
