That causes a lot of confusion when you're on tr fighting against nc. Attacking blue nodes and defending red ones is counterintuative to lots of gamers and caused a lot f problems in internal tests.

I like how people disagree with data and what tests are showing.
This is something that has been tested and proven to work. Sure, a UI customization may be okay for vets to enable, but they looked into this and noticed it was a problem and fixed it. |

Clegg's reason makes perfect sense.
Why force faction specific colored nodes??? Making it more friendly to outside people makes WAY more sense for the default setting. As long as they allow it to be one simple options menu UI adjustment away from being switched to faction colors on your own, what does it matter to you if other people see them as green?

I think the real solution to this is to give more visual cues as to what color/faction you're actually fighting for. While watching the live stream I didn't see any way to distinguish which side the players were on solely by looking at the HUD. Maybe if you added more red to the UI for TR, or even the faction symbols on the node points on the UI, it might solve this confusion for new players. Basically you want to beat it into new players heads that if you play TR, red is good. It seems as though there would be some sort of disconnect by seeing green=good on the HUD, yet red=good on the map.

Green is friendly. All other colors? Enemy. Simple. Honestly wait for Beta. I'm not sure why people are confused by this... Cheers.... |

Its like logging on as NC and knowing green is good , blue and yellow is shit Its like logging on as VS and being told green is good , purple stinks. If you become TR , from the outset or very quickly at best they need to get it into their skull that if its not red, it should be dead. The whole thing is like a big fuck you to the TR |

Now, I can see how you would think that enemies being red is a "stab" against the TR. But while your playing will you honestly be thinking that? Now I am NC. If all the enemies on my interface were displayed as blue by default I wouldn't be mad. I'd adjust and play the damn game. All the while i'm still loyal to my NC brothers. Cheers, GG |
