After looking at all the options (and probably remapping some keys), acquire some resources and then fly around while playing Abney Park's Airship Pirate.

(You know what I want from the SoE PS2 store? Galaxy-mounted downward-facing speakers for broadcasting music at gal drop targets.)

The first thing i would do is look at how nice the world looks

Check key bindings. Remap to esdf. Throw some useful stuff on higher order mouse buttons. Check framerate. Make rough graphics settings adjustments.

Find a squad. Give them a ride to some action. Switch classes or weapons every 5 lives or so until I've tried everything.

Switch into squad support mode and kick some ass.

Same thing I do in every game:

Spawn as a medic and empty a full clip of both primary and secondary weapons into a fixed object at medium range. Then drop everything else I have access to at my feet one by one, grenades included.

After that I will explore the layout of my base extensively. Find out where the most important points and objectives are, access paths to them and defensible areas.

They're probably let people keep their XP's earned in Open Beta Testing. Maybe in Closed Beta Testing too, but I'm doubtful of that one.

I sure hope they have a Virtual Reality place for us to mess around in like in PS1. I know we can eventually get all certs, but would like to test stuff before I put points into it.

If we're talking about beta then it depends on what the devs need.

But since people are talking about buying stuff from the shop, then we're talking about the first time we enter the game after it's been released: Hence, I will help my outfit take over the world. I got to see my outfit leader in action for the first time in PS1 last night and we're definitely going places.

Was a gunner on a few planes - that was a blast. Never got a chance to do that 9 years ago as I was a lone wolf looking more for ground action.

As far as curiosity about game features, I want to see what the LA jumpjets are all about and how to maximize its effectiveness versus the various enemy classes.

First day/night cycle should be interesting. And to answer the common question: How dark will dark really be...especially for a new character that can't afford any optics?

As far as i know there is now Limitation in earning Cert´s,
However You have to stay with you choices, that means you can NOT Reset Cert Points.
