Yeah man I agree. Time to take a summer break I reckon. Sort of a shame they are entering the dev doldrums just in time for Summer when school is out etc but it is what it is. Wonder how much of this delaying is MLG related? That decision is done so nothing to bicker over, we'll just have to roll with it and hope for the best.

I find it interesting to speculate how many level designers they have currently working. Clegg was one but then he was moved onto a different team, we haven't heard much from him lately.

Also SOE are busy developing EQ Next, that may well require resources and I wonder how many continents they'll launch with?
Clegg is happily working on weapons now.


EQN will have one continent i assume, propably quite a big bigger tho. :P

That was obviously never the case. The community was never supposed to be able to directly influence whether or not a listed item would make it into the game simply by voting down or up. Nor was the roadmap ever supposed to have been a schedule set in stone.
Which is certainly for the better since that would simply have forced the devs to release incomplete and untested content just to keep up with the schedule.
The voting system is there for the devs to get a feeling on what might be more prudent to work on first, and the ability to give feedback is there to help the devs refine the concepts.

The developers are obviously working as hard and as fast as they can. People can either adopt the virtue of patience or they can not.
well thanks to downvoting atleast we don't have the orbital strike nor the so-called "no-deploy zone for AMS" which were both bad ideas to start with (well not so bad now, but sure at release, they were scheduled for february lulz, when the game was Explosionside2)


yeah it's still useful for the fact developers might get a hint or two at what we would love to see ASAP ingame.

More detours for the Roadmap.
  • Class Update Engineer -Moved to December
  • Vehicle Update: Liberator - Pushed back to November
  • Class Update: Combat Medic. - Pushed to October
  • September - Resource Revamp. - Moved back to September
  • Vehicle Update: Galaxy. - Pushed back to September
  • August - Outfit Leaderboards. - Pushed back to August
  • Class Update: Infiltrator. - Pushed back to August
  • Vehicle Update: Empire Specific Fighters. - Pushed back to July
  • Server Transfer Token. - Moved back to July in schedule
  • Minimap and HUD Indicator Customization. - Has fallen out of June for other 'quality of life' improvements
  • Streamline Terminal/Loadout UI. - Moved to July in schedule
  • Additional Loadouts. - Won't be able to get to these until July
  • Increase the number of vehicle cosmetic slots. - Has fallen out of June for 'quality of life' improvements.

I still stand by my original post. Remove the months altogether.

hilarious. a 4 month delay now. It will be nice when there is a tactical reason for choosing a base to attack, not just on how bad its defended.

I wonder how much impact the Chinese PS2 going through the beta process this Summer has on these delays? Maybe they are "freezing" any substantial development efforts during this time because of it.

I still say we need sanctuaries -- they needn't be any bigger or any more work than the VR training areas -- and rotating warp gates. The WG's should themselves function as portals to wherever they're going. And God damn it, we need a global map. I don't *want* to have to travel to a continent to see what's going on there.

Put any of these on the road map and I'll start paying attention again, because that's the only thing I can think of that will fundamentally alter gameplay... other than the lattice... which isn't on there either.
