I agree and disagree with everyone
Okay, so that herd of Buffalo should come wondering into the field of battle? Of course, if they did they'd get blown to little bits. Okay, so a flock of geese would take a little more programming than we're willing to let happen because we want this damn game as soon as possible. However, i think things like this should be in the game. Not for release but at a later date, hopefully soon. Not necessarily birds but certainly an occasional rabbit or lizard or something. I'm the type of person that likes to get totally immersed in a game, which is why i have a tendency to lean towards RPGs versus FPSs. I like both types of games but there's just never been anything in an FPS to hold my interest. I think PS will be different because I'm fighting for a cause and it's not just me versus the world. I want something to fight for. I want to see the land as my home. If there's nothing on the land but bare rock and a few trees how is that worth fighting for? Why am i in this stupid war?

I'd just like to add, and sorr for bumping this, that upon reading the closing arguments, vimp did not appear to read many posts. He made an argument, we opposed it, and he merely said we did not understand, and repeated his argument.
Sorry :| It doesn't work that way

Maybe the warmongering empires have driven all indigenous species into extinction, leaving humans forever alone to respawn after death and repeat the tragic battle over a scorched and barren rock.

If I walk out on my back porch and fire my BB rifle, all the birds for the next two yards go flying. If I drive to my mom's place and fire a shotgun, all the birds for the better part of 5 acres go flying. If I fired an 150mm cannon, I'm pretty sure everything and its mother within a few thousands yards would haul ass once that thing was fired. Assuming the whole war thing has been happening for a little bit, what the hell kind of wildlife is going to stick around? A lot of animals have sensitive hearing. 150mm cannons and Galaxies landing and that's going to solve the whole pesky wildlife problem. Apologies for any spelling errors. Moet has done influenced my mind tonight.

That guy who said something about orbs and no graphics is probably the least intelligent person I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Of course all FPS are driven by the competitiveness and killing, but another factor is realism. As the realism increases (Graphically and gameplay) it adds more to the fighting. The entire purpose is to add to the fun of the game, and making animals would just be annoying. It would be unrealistic because in a human warzone all the animals would be dead or gone within minutes. They shouldn't spend time on crap like that, but work on the aspects that enhance the purpose of the game (which is what they are doing, they are on the right track) which is the killing and competitiveness. I don't see why animals would do this

Frabaktos I'm not against you because I really don't care much either way, but DUH!!!
Realism IS immersion. And it is realistic because animals can't run when there is nowhere to go(the whole planet is a warzone). Plus, animals don't run too far away from warzones, animals return to their homes days after major battles are fought. So just put animals in areas away from bases (fights) and you have no problem.
