No, I don't think they would be too thrilled about that.

Estimated cost at the moment, which is PROBABLY going to change (either decrease OR increase) is about $350.

This is for the "bare essentials" - i.e. hotel, Medieval Times, I think that's two theme parks included, LAN time, and pizza at the LAN. Obviously more planning needs to be done to include other miscellanous expenses, and I will come out with a final figure hopefully sometime tomorrow!

we have parent consent forms you can get filled out if you're a minor.
stuff like allowing us to give you medical attention if, say, your foot gets chewed off by a badger.

ah ok thanks Triggar, that just about falls into the zone I was estimating myself. I *SHOULD* be able to come... but I can't commit 100% yet... my job isn't the most reliable thing in the world (my pay fluctuates, a month ago I got a 40% pay cut... for all I know it could happen again) so I will do my best to save up and prepare. Is there a certain time that you need us to commit by for reservations and stuff? I'm sure I'll know whether I'm going or not by the beginning of August but lemme know if you need me to commit whether to go or not sooner.

Will there be a Marriott anywhere nearby? Becuase my Dad is in their highest group (he travels a LOT and we would probably get the plain trip for free ) and might be able to hook some of you guys with a deal.

Yeah, there is a massive Marriott south of the Sheraton. It's further down the interstate so it doesn't seem as centrally located, and further from Universal and International Drive. I don't know how nice their budget rooms are. I tried the reservation thing but it didn't have anything available for the planned dates, might be all booked.

Sheraton looks nice though, I drive by it several times a month as I'm less than an hour away from the place.

I checked the calendar and the new August date again falls on another weekend I'll be out of town. The earliest I can be back is late Sunday night. But things might change by then, I'll have to see. In any case, at the least I could drop by to say hello or grab a bite with you guys.

All payment must be received by me no later than

AUGUST 1st

This is to ensure that thousands of dollars for hotel rooms and dinner reservations and park tickets don't get charged to my debit card when there's no money in there to cover it. Also, it's a few days before the cancellation deadline, so I will have time to change reservations and not get charged if our numbers change.

So its safe to say we are looking at around 450 dollars or so to be safe. I have cleared it through the "boss" and I am a 100% go for this.

I will act as an Event Admin. (and "internal security" if need be). Triggar, let me know if there is something you need me to help with prior to or during "Alpha" that I can begin to prepare for now.

Looking forward to this.

Mani, I'm thrilled that you've signed on to help. Would you be able to PM/Email me with the "itinerary" of what you CDL guys are going to do for your Rally, so I don't go overboard planning ours?

Hamma-Time, what if I inflate the cost by, say, $20/person to pay for you and Jenny to come
