I love this style! Not 100% about the green of the mask, but it does have the TV-typical clinical appeal to it. I could see a pilot's helmet looking very similar, but with a suction mask and hose setup that a diver or pilot would use. The helmet is just so simple, clean, and functional. I like the rest of the suit too, though the white gauze-looking rolls look out of place, because it makes me stop and think, "If a wound needed gauze, wouldn't it just be easier to shoot the patient and have the nanites clone them?" lol...

Everything is good, except the mask IMO. Looks out of place and weird.

Eeeeh. The VS light assault has more spikes and neat details, but I have to agree, I do like the fact that the NC guy has a work shirt on under his armor. It really accentuates the fact that they're supposed to be commonfolk and farmers.
One thing I always found weird was how the NC were supposed to be rebels with all stolen or salvaged/handcrafted arms, yet all of their weapons seem to be as professional-looking (if not more) as the TR. I really thought they were going to fix that in PS2. If anyone here has played Brink, have sort of a "Security (TR) vs. Resistance (NC)" thing going, where the NC would have all painted and duct-taped weapons, and TR has nice clean ones. NC weapons should look like this: But alas, they get fancy weapons again :| I guess I shouldn't mind so much, being a sworn Vanu, but I just think it would be nice if it went along with the "lore" :P |

Don't go down the lore path, or I'll argue that lorewise NC works for the big corporate leaders and also have mercenaries with them. Both of the two are very likely to have money for shiny gear Lorewise the NC are a very diverse group, and I don't think you can pigeonhole it all to "rebels with only salvaged stuff".
Hell, many mercenary groups have shinier stuff than the actual hell and back gear military sometimes has As a NC by heart, I absolutely hate being forced to have the "hell and back" gear. At least we have good looking weapons in that sense. That said, if SOE wants guaranteed money for me, they put the NC armor/gear on cash shop that is less worn out. I don't want assembly line quality, cos thats equally stupid, but so that most of the paint is still intact Especially some of the earlier screenshots we saw, some of the armor plates were probably lacking closer to 50% paint

Hmm I know the effect they are trying to achieve here but that mask...ughh...not great.
The teal coloured areas are too much and "in your face" - needs toning down a bit. Did the helmet also need to be silver? Again, looks out-of-place and would be better if it was purple. Not bad overall though... |

In real life, they would simply be using weapons stolen from the TR, because a short time ago they were TR, and when they rebelled, would have taken a bunch of guns(and likely no small number of troops came with them). They wouldn't have time to research, design, test, and manufacture a wide array of new designs for weapons systems.
