Like you said, with all this nonsense going on, i don't think SOE would like seeing one of their vets talking like this, it can represent them pretty badly.

Michaeal, you're a great swimmer but you need to stop. You said something earlier about PSU community that wasn't warranted really. The guy you quoted has 'Private' as their rank which means it is a new account on PSU.

Not everyone on the Interwebs is nice. Stop bashing this community just cause a select few can't word their shit right.

I'm not annoyed about my vet status being meaningless compared to people who have better computers and/or the impatience to buy into the beta. Mostly because I knew as soon as they said that and every time after it would be an empty promise.

But I am kind of annoyed that several months ago they put priority keys in a magazine and said those people would be the first to play. Now I learn I am 4th in line behind a bunch of other variables?

I don't mind not playing the beta, I've been waiting since 2011, but I don't like being lied to.

I doubt all of the vets or guys who should have got in the early waves will be in before October. When their specific dates are off by a month you can only imagine what 2-3 weeks comes out to be in reality.

Beta is not release (I know it might seem that way with F2P games). Furthermore, this is a real beta (bug fixing, balancing, stress testing), not a marketing push.

We all get in day 1 of release together regardless of previous history.

They would probably be the priority customers that would get to taste-test the product before release to the general public. Mountain Dew actually did something like that a couple years ago iirc.

Seriously guys, some of these remarks are sounding very juvenile. This is a REAL beta, meant for testing the servers and looking for bugs. This is NOT BF3 beta, which was not really anything more than a demo (who submitted bug reports during that beta?!? Anyone?).

So what it boils down to is:

Let vets in=newbies moan
Let newbies in=vets moan

SOE fail either way right?

Can the lot of you grow up maybe,and stop acting like the 10 year old xbawx kids you seem to reflect?

How about showing a bit of respect to these guys for trying to dish it out fairly(even if they have made huge mistakes)at the end of it all,this is for BETA to a free game.

I worded it correctly. And just because my account says private doesn't mean I haven't been a part of this community. I've actually switched handles for the new PlanetSide 2 game.

I wasn't mean, I wasn't harsh. As a PS1 vet who has had an active account since 2003, I am entitled to a first entry beta. That's just how it goes.

If it was that big of a deal to some of you, why not just buy your way in last night for $10? Eight of my non-ps1 vets bought the game for $10 last night, and I am sure they got in.

It's been news for like 3 or 4 weeks, can't blame the devs for not chasing people individually to make sure they know, the info was out there.
