Flawed riddle with too many answers.

Just about anything considered "meat". Skin the animal (or remove feathers/scales) cook the meat, throw away the bones. Answer is right but not the "correct answer".

If you expanded "cook" to mean prepare to eat (which IS something that is done regularly in these stupid riddles) then many foods would correctly answer the riddle.
Apples if you were to peal them, then bake them, then throw out the core. Pot pipe from an apple is not uncommon.

Avocado you peal, eat the "meat" and throw out the pit.
All kinds of shellfish, remove the shell cook and throw out the guts.
Pomegranate, peel, eat the seeds and throw out the pith.
Oh... anything with seeds really. Watermelon, seeded oranges. Peel, eat, spit.

Coffee. It is dried, husks removed, cooked and the water over the top is consumed and the "insides" thrown away.
Artichoke hearts, throw out all that nasty fuzzy parts in the middle.

I know the "correct" answer but i'm not giving it because, as I said it is a dumb riddle.
