How about we replace all infantry weapons with mesh bags of oranges. They could be tangerines or clementines if we're worried about the TTK.

As someone who enjoys the infil sniping aspect of Planetside I can only say that these proposed changes are dissapointing.

99% of my play time is infantry based and short TTk and instagibs are a 'problem' but I would have thought been OHK headshot at distance would have been low on the list. Sure its frustrating, but there's loads of OHK's that, to me, rank higher up the poll (shotgun OHK, ZOE instagib, bouncing betty's, pod spam etc). Most can usually be mitagated against, with certs or play style, and I don't see why long range BASR headshots shouldn't be the same.

Over the last year it has become more challenging, i would say, to land a headshot at 300m and get a OHK. This is due to people certing into nanoweave and people learning not to stand still and be sillhouetted against the sky/background. Thats not to say it still doesn't happen; I still get my fair share of headshots but maybe SOE have seen a spike in OHK at distance from BASR's?

Maybe sniper rilfes should be differentiated themselves by range and silencer utilisation:

CQC Sniper rifle = 150 m OHK range, Silencer is allowed
Default (cheap 100 cert) Sniper rifle = 175 m OHK range, Silencer is allowed
2nd tier Sniper rifle = 200 m OHK range, no Silencer allowed (or silencer shortens the range to some previous tier to 175 or even 150 for example)
3rd (currently last) Sniper rifle = 225 m OHK range, no Silencer allowed

Of course ranges could be different but imho this is pretty good.

P.S. (little rant) when will the random switching on/off cloak be adressed? and when i do instant action with drop pod when i land i need to wait ~5-10 seconds until i can switch or even use my weapons. Kind a sucky experience also if you are a new player and get this.
