Not too religious, but I have to question if that isn't counter-productive? I don't think He'd want you spending your time on PS2.

You can tell the start of beta is soon, everyone seems to getting cranky and foaming at the mouth, maybe SOE should unlock PS for the time being while they get ready so we don't see an angry mob with pitchforks heading their way

Well a vet still waiting to get in here, no key yet, probably because i'm in the EU perhaps.

I have been playing another beta though which I've dropped money for now, PS2 will have to be something special to draw me away. It was time vs money here, time (excitement) in PS1 vs currency (current) in X, current won out in getting me in.

I think they hyped it too much folks, at least on my end, not those who are in, sure you are having a whale of a time. Many of us pictured more seats at the table than there were.

He forgot to account for time differentials according to differences in temporal velocity. Also, Smed lives his life in a drug-induced haze. He thinks its 2017 and we're living under robot overlords.

Give the guy a break. I'm not sure what exactly he was quoted as saying a few weeks ago, but I'm sure it wasn't a 100% garantuee of being within this month. More along the lines of "we are planning it for the end of july" I expect?

The most recent (very recent indeed) thing he has said is "next week" as long as things go according to plan. That's pretty close, and closer means less uncertainty. Stick to that for now and don't start extrapolating a more exact date from that by combining it with far older estimates. You will only end up hyping yourself up for nothing.

Go play something else meanwhile. BF3 if you have it. Tribes if you want something free (its great btw). The days will go a lot faster if you aren't sitting around every day on the forums waiting for the beta. It will be obvious when it starts - relax
