After looking at the last couple of pages in the thread, I'm pretty sure this hasn't been mentioned, but they said on the Facebook page that they are currently in the technical testing phase. This means that closed beta is the next thing up, and probably pretty damn soon. I'm hoping for this weekend, even though I won't be able to play next week.

Yeah Smed tweeted about it yesterday. He said they were hoping to start the tech test by the end of the week. I wouldn't expect Beta this weekend at all based on that news.

Beta has just been beaten to death I am just looking forward to some PS1 with friends and the release of guild wars 2 in august. At least I have a date for that =/

If the PS2 beta happens to come out and I get in then I will enjoy it but I am tired of all the hype and it's just a pain now

I thought the way they looked and felt was great, but the way they actually worked mechanically in terms of hitting people was awful.

PS2's gunplay looks far more 'steady' and solid.

they already said beta in a few weeks.and since then they only put on lame texts on twitter and everyone on this damn forum sees a beta message in everything they write.those people on here having wet dreams at night by every post soe does on twitter..just pathetic

i watch this forum everyday because i like to read this stuff on how and what people like to happen with ps2 but thats all.

im not even talk about when beta starts because somehow it wont happen SOON. i think they have more problems with running it then we think.
because if it wasn't then they already announced a beta date already to stop these nonesence posts about when beta starts.

That had nothing to do with the weapons. That's the clientside hit detection, and PS2 has serverside hit detection like any FPS developer with more than 60 IQ would decide to take.

Basically it's BF3 weapons that actually work as intended.

Have any of you looked at the PS2 twitter page? They are giving away beta keys in the masses. I dont know how they are going to support such a huge population at the start of the beta. If all the keys are for early Beta.

Honestly guys.. every single Tweet Devs make are NOT hints at beta.

Devs are not going to reveal beta over Twitter.

Yeah, you're right. This is actually the first game I've followed like this, and I have no idea of how long a technical test takes, so I probably shouldn't have predicted anything at all. Sorry about that.
