http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...=1&name=Gaming They start at $479, monitor extra. The nice part about browsing the listing is that they tell you exactly what parts are used, unlike an OEM (HP, Dell, etc), so you can get an idea of what is a good deal. Also, the reviews are handy, for the parts as well as the pre-built systems. This chart is also a good thing to look at if you're not really sure if a new CPU will be a noticeable upgrade or not. |

I built my new rig for BF3 so it is all sorted out. I am running a Fx 8100 cpu/ crossfired iceq hd 6950's @ 2gb each/ 16 gigs ram/ 120 gb ssd/ 2 22 inch monitors. But I broke down and bought a new g110 keyboard, razer mouse and pad, and plan on getting a new flight stick this week for PS2. I am leaning towards a Satiek X52 system. Any input anyone has on flight sticks would be appreciated. My budget for a flight stick I'm thinking is $50~$100.

I think I might have alot of people beat on what Ive spent on a rig...PS2 has been a big inspiration towards this rig, however its not just for PS2.
I was running an imac before so I didnt really have a "gaming" computer. I do a bit of graphic design and video editing so I kind of picked alot of good products that will last me a VERY long time and will do an excellent job. Hence the build. Computer Specs: Intel i5 3570K -189.99 Corsair 16GB DDR3 Ram - 109.99 Corsair 16GB DDR3 Ram - 109.99 Asus P8Z77-V Deluxe 1155 ATX - 224.99 Crucial 128Gig SSD M4 - 114.99 OCZTECG 1000W Power Supply - 189.99 Samsung 27" LED Monitor - 339.99 Samsung 27" LED Monitor - 339.99 EVGA GTX 670FTW - 439.99 Razer Blackwidow ULT Keyboard - 129.99 HAF X Case - 189.99 1TB HHD Cavier Black - 149.99 (roughly cant find receipt) LG Bluray/DVD Burner - 89.99 --------------------------------------------------- Total = 2959.85 Before all of the comments. No I am not a spoiled kid that lives with parents, and yes I bought everything here myself with my own (saved) money. |

Those of you that ARE thinking about upgrading, it is definitely easier and cheaper to build yourself. They are plenty of guides online to assist you in the build process if you've never done it before. Honestly, the most stressful part is installing the CPU and applying the thermal paste. It's very easy to second guess yourself if you haven't done it before.

Still running a Core2Duo E8400 and a 460GTX as it is enough for almost anything. But I am planning on upgrading soon. Still waiting for Nvidia to release 650/660/Ti cards which will hopefully happen soon
