LOL I have been enjoying the heck out of the swell of non-obviously-cheating players since they banned the very costly free accounts.
Being able to AMS for a hundred is far more satisfying and motivating than counting cricket chirps between spawners as the cheaters were spiralling the pops downwards. I'm not worried about when PS:N comes out. I want to have a monster computer for it anyway, so the longer they delay, the better. My slaptop is running PS slowly enough already. |

Planetside: Next? hmmm Planetside: Next?
Nope, doesn't ring a bell. Oh wait, was that the game where we saw a couple models way back in the past and then it's been nothing but silence since? That sounds vaguely familiar. They should really start making that game some day. |

My bet: They're waiting to see how much interest the new press is going to bring in the form of hits on the PS site and new/reactivated subs. I know there's more than just a few of us returning vets, who knows how many more will come in the next time they mention it at all?
I don't have much faith in SOE but they are part of a corporation and if they think they can make a buck off anything, they'll probably do it unless they can make more by investing the same resources elsewhere. Right now they've got their PS people doing...what, exactly? I mean maybe it's just an artist drawing this stuff up and Smed having a good laugh at everyone, but I think it's more likely that they'll be coming out with more when they've just about used up whatever buzz they've gained thus far. |
