Glad to see this isn't specific to Facebook, though I am wondering if we're allowed to enter several times with differing slogans... wait, wait a second. You guys gotta lay off Higby, this is the same guy that risked his job to show you guys a small piece of the game on AGN. That took some SERIOUS Balls. not too many people were happy about that, but he did it for you guys, the fans. There will be live demos, gameplay vids, and hands ons coming soon but dont bash the dude. Bottomline, you would NEVER get this level of interactivity from ANY other studio. PERIOD. SOE has 'allowed' us to do itsh that other studios would have fired us for 10x over. Higby is my partner in crime so give the man props not problems.

All of you guys are amazing, really appreciate any interaction and the fact that I start browsing the forums through the VIP tracker is a testament to you guys. Hold on, my inner fanboy is coming out.

Don't worry about it, Higgs ! I'm sure a lot of people like myself are very happy about the contest and already having streams of words rushing into their minds.

PS2 is n.1 for all of us so we all hope for Beta or videos when we hear "Special annoucement" even though it clearly said "special" and "Faction smackdown". People sometimes set themselves up for disappointment when they prepare themselves with unrealistic expectations.

IMO, your netcast was spot on the topic. I will talk for myself but I liked the session. While we did not get any concrete information, it was a very entertaining. The TR bashing that went unopposed was +1 in my books even though I still think T-Ray won that round.

Please, don't stop the casts, some of us truly appreciate them ! And giving us a chance to participate in the empire motto brainstorm is a very nice move.

I didn't get my hopes up for any gameplay so I wasn't disappointed at all. I actually found the faction smackdown part of it very entertaining. I'm pretty sure we all can agree that T-Ray won that argument...

You guys are doing an awesome job though, and you're right, no other studio has had this much community interaction. Keep up the amazing work!

I think our suggestions are just that, it won't decide the final slogan. But it gives the players a chance at altering the game. If they do get some awesome quotes, they'll use them (and advertise the hell out of it "Look! We listen to people!"). I will miss the slogans of old though

I meant no disrespect to any of the planetside staff. Sure I was disappointed there was no screen/video treats but that did not mean I did not enjoy the show. Like Arclegger mentioned on twitter my favorite quote had to be T-Ray "Without Technology we wouldn't even be in this room" mHigby "I'd love to not be in this room" You gotta love co-workers with great mutual respect for each other who still enjoy dishing it out against one another. And as far as the contest goes I blame Basti for ruining the surprise with his magic 8-ball like guessing.

But please know while I don't speak for everyone on this board I do appreciate all the time and effort the devs had put forth to keep the planetside community involved and growing. It makes me more certain that planetside2 will be an enjoyable experience not only for the game play but for the camaraderie that comes with it based on the word and actions of the developers (and testers).

probably just 1 winner per faction, but it also says that SOE reserves the right to not pick one just in case they don't receive one that they think is good enough.

makes sense. they don't want to pick the best of the worst if it comes to it.
