C4 on Engies?

Mind you, with a small dollop of luck ask me in a day or so and er...I won't be able to tell you.

Still want to know what a Charger 'nade could be as well.

Thanks for the link. I didn't realize the wiki has grown so much.

More links to the classes found here. Guess someone paused a video at some point to pull all that.

Infantry now got shield and health instead of armor and health. Before you healed the health and repaired the armor, so now you heal the health and charge the shield. Since medics got health grenades it wouldn't be a far stretch to have engies with charge grenades aka shield healing grenades.

Hmm....right, thanks, does make sense, Not sure I like the grenade-for-every-occasion strain of development though. Nothing wrong with the old inventory and lots of tools.

Given that Medics have a deployable shield it seems likely that they'll be addressing shields as well.

Given that Higby called it C4 in the recent PlanetSide Command Center isn't a good sign that it'll change.

It had nothing to do with that but I guess if we are playing that game...

How many people played PS1 compare to L4D? popularity contest, I think the latter wins without much problem which mean it has "coined" the term for many more people.

I'm just saying why I'll never call it like that. Except if they get another name which is quite short and easy to remember, I'll stick with C4. Nothing personnal.

Never said it was personal man. I'm not saying they have to call them Boomers, I just hate them calling it C4.

Honestly, I prefer C4.

Because in my mind, a boomer is more like, err, you know...

Don't care what you call it as long as it blows up when I want it to.

This, I suspect one of the smaller reasons it's not called Boomer anymore is that, between PS1 & PS2, L4D happened.

Though, I do wish it was called something other than C4. It almost breaks my suspension of disbelief to hear that 700 years from now, we'll still be calling explosives by the same designation. 700 years from now we probably won't even be speaking any language recognizable to us today, so to hear it called C4 is borderline ridiculous. It certainly sounds silly for a Sci-fi story set so far in the future.

To assume that players can't figure out this explosive without giving it a "Modern Shooter" name is pretty pathetic.

Whoever made this was just plain LAZY. It's a small instance of dumbing down, because instead of being creative the designer simply copy-pasted it from "Modern Shooters" and the LinkSys website instead of getting inspiration from PS1.

Is there C4 in PS? No.
Is there C4 in COD and BF3? Yes.

There you have it.
