Bare in mind that this is a mockup with a handful of play testers. They're all charging the one spot for the benefit of the camera. Real fights will play out far more dynamically.
Medic AOE makes me uneasy, but I'll give it the benefit of doubt. I'm hoping it has a cooldown, etc. The 'square' nano-repair effect on maxes just looks broken, like placeholder art. At least I hope that's the case because it looks naff. |

I can't really say what is it that looks a bit off to me, either. I dont know how "realistic" BF3 is in this sense, but there it doesnt really look awkward to me. This trailer does sorta show how hard it is to easily show the scale of Planetside. This trailer could be from any run of the mill shooter coming out. It's just like trying to describe Planetside to someone who isnt familiar to it, there is no easy way to do it that makes the game any justice.

Running is way off.
I already noticed that in the very first trailers. Watch the trailer and stop randomly at running scenes. Feet are going underground, chars make strange movements (in fact there are stances that would make real-world humans fall down - especially with armor) Sure, coming from BC2 / BF3 it might be hard to impress me with player animations, but it's important to make those animations good-looking as nothing turns you more off than playing an awesome game but when you look at other players all you can do is facepalm. |

As for the video, I'm not impressed, tbh. Too much michael bay, too little storytelling. I mean even knowing what the game is, I wasn't able to tell what's going on on the screen.
