Having servers with and without Friendly Fire in order to prevent griefing doesn't solve the issue, it only dances around it and will most likely pigeon hole you into playing a grief off server which will inevitably be a spam fest. No thank you.
As everyone before me has said, FF is necessary in a game like PS to prevent constant spamming and stagnant fights that result from it. Truly sounds awful to include servers without FF. I wonder if they devs have ever played PS1 besides the one time they were on lunch break or when BF3 was patching  .
