I can tell you now I never planned on staying with BWC. I was bored one night on Werner VS and decided to start an ALT on Emerald TR, I saw BWC, I squaded with them, next thing I know I'm standing here today with one of the greatest gaming groups on the net. If you want organized fighting, and good fun BWC is for you.

BWC is committed to bringing professional troopers with massive firepower to the fight wherever the Terran Republic is fighting. Be it offense or defense, our outfit can summon a tough force to contend with. We feature a multi-layered approach to combat that we call "Combined Arms Assault".
Our Special Forces task force features two teams - Scout/Sniper team finds targets for us (also engaging in accurate sniper fire), while our Commandos perform backhacks, sabotage, and CE ambushes. Both send reports over Teamspeak with real-time recon and intelligence. Our Ranger task force uses the Marauder or the Galaxy to sweep in and deliver crushing, concentrated assault weapons fire on enemy targets. They coordinate heavily with scouts and commandos before arriving at the target, and they coordinate heavily with our air teams to get there and to survive upon dropping. Our Rampage armor task force provides strong armor coordination for heavy support to ground forces, or Flail artillery fire missions to knock out fortifications or to deliver lethal suppressive firepower on enemy positions. They are currently working on a BFR assault as well, and in the past our MAX Crash teams were made up heavily of Rampage members. Our SOAR task force features two arms - our team of Air Cavalry provides fast-moving Reavers or Mosquitos for close air support at the drop zone (aka target), combat air patrols while on-station at the target, air interdiction so enemies don't get to the target, and rapid response if the target is compromised, while the Air Support team provides Galaxy, Lodestar, and Liberator support for any BWC, ULTRA, or TR operations. And for those members who don't wish to play in a TF (where certs are mandatory), we have VENOM Squad, which is also where all of our new recruits go until they pass the BWC's Basic Training and make it through a task force selection course. Regardless of where you are in BWC, there are always senior leadership members who can directly attend to your requests and needs. No soldier is left to the masses, and no one is made to feel like they're a number in the organization. We have a core backbone of loyal officers and senior NCOs, and our Chain of Command is unlike any other. BWC also fields no less than two dozen active duty military members, retirees, or former military members, many of whom are combat veterans. While this is a moot point for some, for many people these members are what makes the outfit unique and it lends to our military-style outfit, organization, and standard procedures. Where other outfits talk the talk, we walk the walk. When you need reliable, loyal and dedicated troops for the TR on Emerald, just call on the professionals at Black Widow Company. Few can compare, and those we salute as like-minded brothers. Have a nice day. -- Firefly, Black Widow Company Executive Officer / Webmaster http://www.theblackwidowcompany.net |

Black Widow Company has closed its doors (temporarily) to new recruits. We have almost 130 members, and of those members, only 14 have not logged in for over 14 days. That's quite a number to be running with (furthermore when running with ULTRA Alliance), and we're doing some "stress testing" for our methods of leadership and organization.
Catch you on the flipside. |

Black Widow Company has reopened its doors to recruits. We're currently focusing on infantry and anti-BFR roles, almost exclusively. Our existing task force structure has been temporarily removed, and all BWC members are getting a dose of grunt work. If you've got the balls to play the game the way it was meant to be played, check us out. If you're sick and tired of logging in and seeing two people from your outfit on, check us out - tonight (Thursday night) we had two squads running. If you're sick of hearing "Member joined... member left" on Teamspeak because people log in and then go play WoW or EverCrack 2 because not enough people are on to have a decent scratch-game going, check us out. If you're tired of inactive leadership or ladder-climbing killwhores who care nothing about their outfit mates, then come to BWC because quite-frankly, all of our members are important and they all have something useful to say. We don't believe in "commanding time" - if you have a better way to do it, say so. If you've got important scout info or intel to pass on, speak up. Life isn't easy in BWC. We expect the best of our members, and we don't often reward you because The Best is supposed to be your job. The can't-cuts and the sissies and the powergaming killwhores fall by the wayside. We recommend them to other outfits, and we gladly show them the door if they think the spotlight is strictly for them. We believe in TEAM play, not Joe Snuffy And The Black Widows. We expect all members to be on Teamspeak when they play, with the SL and PL on Channel Command to coordinate with the ULTRA Alliance. We expect our members to regularly check in on the Forums and to sign up for operations on the Operations Server. We don't tolerate ship-jumping empire hoppers, take your NC and VS alts to Markov or Werner. We don't TK, but we will defend ourselves if n00b fucktards are acting normal in the Courtyard or CC during mission-time. We train hard, we train realistically, we enforce the tried-and-true tactics that we use, and we tell you to shut the fuck up on Teamspeak if you're flapping your ball-washers. We don't pussyfoot around, so if you're easily offended, we advise that you go check out another outfit of "casual gamers". We're extremely proud of who we are and what we've accomplished, and we're proud to be at the forefront of the TR when they step onto a continent - which we're usually the last to leave, either because we'll fight til there are no respawns left or we'll stick around and fix the shit the zerg-n00bs busted and don't know how to repair. We play the game hard, and we play it smart. We don't encourage footzergs, but you'll see our infantrymen on the ground running with the best of them - where appropriate. And unlike other outfits, we actually use our support certifications for more than just ourselves... and we don't mind stopping and patching your junk too. And once again, we demonstrate the power of "bumpage" as opposed to cluttering your forum spaces and eyeballs with "yet another pointless recruiting thread".
By the way. HI!! http://www.theblackwidowcompany.net Now featuring "THE GREAT RACE". All TR welcome to participate. |

Black Widow Company's elite task forces are returning. Because of the influx of new players (to the outfit or the game), BWC's Command and Staff have revamped the task force structure. There are "membership criteria" for joining a task force, not least among them is attending Basic and Advanced Training, as well as going through the requisite Qualification Course for that team.
The outfit now also has an additional joining requirement - all members must have Medium Assault as a certification. Be a part of Emerald TR's most organized outfit. Our members work so well together because everyone attends Basic and Advanced training, where we all use a set system of tactics that are battle-tested. Join the ranks of TR's elite, if you love a challenge. Few can match our dedication, few can field a coordinated force of troops that have the same game-plan, and none can match our organization and teamwork. Hype? Maybe - try it for yourself and find out. Enlist today. http://www.theblackwidowcompany.net |

BWC - the "unknown outfit" that served WalMart a "STFU n00b" on the official forums and actually got him to STFU.
But I digress... BWC's task forces are in full swing. TF Ranger - air-assault infantry and recon-scout/snipers TF Commando - infiltration/CE, ninja-hack and recon TF Rampage - armor/BFR and Air operations Apply at the website's forums today. Be a part of a team, not a part of the zerg. Instead of running your mouth on the OF about how elite you are, come and prove it. If you can adapt to our "militant" playstyle, then you've got a home in BWC. Others have tried, and others have failed. Many have come, and many just couldn't deal. And that's cool - if our playstyle isn't for you, no harm no foul. -- Firefly, Black Widow Company Commanding Officer / Webmaster |

Black Widow Company is pleased to announce that we are opening a Battlefield Two (BF2) platoon under command of one of our former Commanding Officers. We'll be bringing our penchant for organized tactics and coordination, and we're accepting recruits now.
Oh, PS... SturmGrenadier, if you're up for a rematch of that ancient ass-beating we served you in Planetside? Let us know. We'll give you home-team advantage for BF2 or Planetside. Have a nice day. |

Well, since the summers coming up I'm looking about getting into PS again..
But see, I've always been kinda reserve about joining large outfits that say that they are organized and think that they are l33t. So I'm just askin you hows the status of your outfit now? With PS sorta falling apart how are you all holding up? Are you as organized as you say? Scheduled playing times? I'm sorry I'd go look on your forums but right now I'm a little to busy (hehe, at work) so any sort of reply would be great |

I do not consider us large. We're not a mega-outfit but we're up damn-near the top of the Outfit Points ladder. And that's without having our membership extend beyond a hundred. I also don't consider us |33t.
I'd say we still know how to draw a crowd.

Black Widow Company is still with Planetside, as it has been since exclusive beta. We still have the same structure, many of the same faces, and continue to dominate as one of the top ten outfits on Emerald TR, with fewer of the numbers.
Where others have fallen, quit, sold out, changes sides... Black Widow Company continues charging forward with its same playstyle, motivation, teamwork, and dedication. BWC has endured many challenges, but has never once faltered or swerved. Our reputation speaks for itself among the TR leadership and among the veterans - we do not need over-the-top personalities, braggarts, and smack-talking fatheads to spam it up on forums for us. We do not advertise ourself except in appropriate venues. We keep a low profile, so that no one sees us coming. We are one of Emerald's top outfits for a reason. Our soldiers are well-disciplined and well-trained. We do not allow new members to fall by the wayside, there are no unknown faces in an outfit that has 94 members (most of them active). If you're looking for a team that knows how to have fun, and can kick some ass while doing it, look no further than BWC. Firefly, Black Widow Company Commanding Officer / HMFIC PS, welcome back Planetside-Universe, I missed you. |
