if anyone doesnt know that inter-service jibes are all friendly banter, pls go die. there is respect for all MEMBERS of the armed forces, it's the service in general that is getting made fun of.
marine recon is probably the easiest to get into, paperwork wise. if you join as infantry and have qualifying ASVAB scores, you can pretty much say "hey, i wanna go recon". i believe snipers is the same way, but you must have qualifying rifle scores too.
in the SEALs, you can spend years writing letters to people who matter and not even get an eye blinked at you. no clue about army special forces.
BTW, Marine Recon and SEALs rate pretty equal in my eyes. they go through different psychological training, but they go to the exact same training schools for parachuting, building entry, all that shit. i've heard stories of both SEALs going to train and it was a Recon guy teaching them and Recon going to train and it was a SEAL.
