I am sure the answer I am looking for is somewhere in this thread, but did I need to be actively subscribed to PS1 when they announced that PS1 vets would get priority beta access, or does just being a vet since 2003 suffice
Thanks. |

Could someone ask for me on twitter from smed or higby or someone who's prone to answer / knows:
Is it possible for euro (vet) players to get in the beta on the first waves or is it americans only? I haven't seen anything said about this anywhere (sorry, though, if it has been clarified somewhere - please point me there)..

There were some threads about this about a week ago. I'm not sure if it was official though. From what I remember, SOE made a deal with some EU server company(?) and they will have EU servers. There was a lot of fret about region lock but last I heard SOE is working on it.

You way behind the times. It is up somewhere (on phone so hard to find it) that anyone from any area can play on any server. It was not initially like that but after the community reacted they changed it. I imagine beta will be the same. I see no reason not to and if they want to beta test properly then it will be fine. I'm in the UK so have high hopes.

I'm not talking about the prosieben deal. I'm wondering if the first steps of closed beta (next monday~) // external tech test (thursday~~) will be americans only...

Yeah I was addressing the poster who was speaking about closed beta testing, and if EU players will be in it. |

How did you ask him? The latest post of him on this forum was in the thread if the EU people also get beta servers, and he said: '' Hi guys, there will be EU servers for the game, fret not. '' But we don't know if he was referring to the beta of full game servers. Last edited by bjorntju1; 2012-07-10 at 01:09 PM. |

Man, they must need A LOT of players for Beta. Seems likes anyone who really wants to get into Beta can get a key with just a little effort. I think I've gotten my 5th key now. As long as they keep giving them away, I'll keep recruiting friends.

Just because it's easy to get a key doesn't mean that the beta will be massive at the start. It just means that they have a wider pool of candidates to choose from, so your chances of actually getting into the beta at the start are much lower (improving as it goes on, since your competition for a beta slot are already playing).
