What could you do at this point? I mean from the release date we saw tonight it seems the people investing in the game are wanting this to be out soon, so there isnt enough time to fix what all the vets want fixed. Theres more stuff getting added into the future we know that...hell for all we know they could add some features later on in the game that were in ps1 like doors and gens that control base benefits. Granted they are open to our suggestions but now they have a set deadline and im sure thats going to be spent on bugs and performance more then anything else.

The problem I see is that PS2 really needs to be driven by the need to conquer and hold territory.
Right now - most of the territory doesn't really matter... and the goal seems to pretty much be for the various factions to just kind of meet somewhere on the map and farm each other at a base or tower. Moreover - I'm not convinced the upcoming changes... as they have been described... are going to do a lot to change the situation. I may be in the minority - but I actually think the removal of passive benefits that affect your character progression (aka auraxium/certs) was a bad idea. All that needed to be done was enabling resource collection across continents. Other than that... I'm encouraged by the state of most of the other elements in the game. |

This is by and large correct. The game is a failure when compared to the goals of PS1, PS2 is an ADHD style game with no real flow of combat. It's sickening how much the developers ignored the lattice style of battles from PS1 and how well organized they were. |

Don't get me wrong here, i don't mind some newer modern if you want to name it that features.
But give me 1 good reason why the hacking base feature is not good enough for a modern game? You hacked it and had to guard it, because the enemy could still spawn inside the base. Unless you took out the spawn generator, which were guarded by pain fields. Now you just run in camp and your good. Sorry but that's a zerg feature imo, and i have yet to find out what about that is good. As for the base design, heck i got little to complain about them. Besides the fact that they pretty much ignored the need for doors(so tanks can just spawn their shells through them). Backdoors leading underground to the objective. And the current few bases which got a "backdoor" if you want to name it that is not exactly anything great. Since its a big open gap somewhere which you can just run through and your in. Back doors in PS1 had exactly that a door, which in turn required a hacker to get in through. And once you got in, you could get stuck because the enemy had a good defense waiting for you. |

I am guessing you want PS2 to be BF in a MMO setting. PS1 cap system was unique, why would you move away from that. And copy something so many other games have copied also. |

I miss the following:
-Lattice (Yes i understand the hex system is this sudo lattice system but it doesn't work the same way unfortunately.) -CC at a base (Could easily bring this back, force a CC hack to cap a base. But the exterior points could speed up the count down time until a base caps. The exterior hex's could speed up the speed you cap the exterior points. Essentially layering the method in which a base is capped.) -Indoor combat (Could bring this back by making a centralized spawn underground that expands in tunnels to the exterior points. Creating indoor combat, choke points etc.) -UT/Quake/Arena Shooter style of killing bad guys. Never been a fan of this modern FPS styling, seems to overplayed as if every shooter now a days wants this style of ADS firing. Last edited by CheeZeX; 2012-10-19 at 02:01 PM. |

God knows why, in my opinion if they could come up with new stuff in PS1. Why not try something for PS2 also. Instead of copying stuff. |

Can't agree more, and concerning capturing: Instead of an original new way, or atleast the original way of PS1 we now have the very unoriginal "loitering at flag" way of each and every FPS game with a "conquest" mode. |
