Y'know... the whole point of this thread was to find out whether you're more of a hat, unique armour, pair of sunglasses or faction specific trousers sort of person.
Maybe if someone from SoE was looking in and saw that the community had an overwhelming preference for empire specific Hawaiian shirts, or "I played planetside 1 and all I got was this bumper sticker" bumper stickers, then that's what the community would get, rather than leaving it to chance. All of this other nonsense is just nonsense. |

Let vets keep the original voice macros from PS1. Same voice actors, too.

Planetside 1 classic skin pack for free would be really cool or name reservations for known vets would be great as well.
As long as vets gain nothing that gives them an advantage over the playerbase. I think giving these players anything is a great gesture of respect because without the people that stayed loyal and played through the good and bad. Hell, you possily wouldn't even be sitting on these forums talking about a second game or about how jelly you are that you might not be included in the elite "circle jerk" MMO's live and die by the community. Good thing ours rocks! Last edited by ShadoViper; 2012-05-23 at 02:49 PM. |

I see it now... the worlds first MMOFPS "Massively Multiplayer First Person Summit"
Take your virtual seats and get on teamspeak to negotiate peacefully as to which faction should own what hex. If a faction steps out of line, negotiate with the other faction to pass a resolution to demand they step back into line, under threat of passing further, more strongly worded resolutions if they do not. |

I stand by my opinion of there not being one, but if there is, at least make it not directly affect the newbies. |

I'm not arguing that it wouldn't be nice to get something as a veteran. I paid for Planetside as well. But I'm not going to say that I "At a minimum require name reservations" or "Because I dealt with Planetside I should to get more service awards,or special weapons, or special armor than I already recieved in Planetside" You are right that MMO's live and die by the community, but how that community treats it's developers and how it treats new members is just as important. The language used in this thread indicates a deep seated prejudice against both of these. Just look at Mr.BloodWorth's signature. Dude likens the direction the devs are going with PS2 to being in a physically abusive relationship while at the same time defending people who expect free stuff from those same devs. Last edited by ArmedZealot; 2012-05-23 at 03:12 PM. |

Name reservations wouldn't be fair to everyone. It's a name get over it.
I would be fine with a simple cosmetic "vet" item such as a command hat. Or something to show how many years have passed since we originally signed up. I liked the merits they had in the old game including how many years you have played. Maybe there is a way to continue this on to this game. |

Name and outfit name reservation with the option of putting your old server initial at the end of your name, just like what was done in PS1 after the merges (if you choose). This way someone can still take your standard name but the -J, -K, -M, -W, -G or whatever would only be available to vets.
