Still not too keen on the Out-of-Bounds being so restrictive. The devs give us so much freedom and customization, being very careful to promote all different play styles yet severely limit where we can go.

Like the several other people in this thread mentioned; get away from size always matters.
I'm all for a sequel for PlanetSide, but delivered with a a dick joke? Not like this. Not like this! It doesn't fit and I get that same creepy feeling whenever I watch some Japanese commercial for a product i've never heard of where everyone is way too excited. Something like laundry detergent. At the end someone yells out one English phrase like, "Aha! Pussy fart!" And the commercial ends, and I stare into the soul of my screen until I can make out individual pixels while thinking, wtf is wrong with *those* people? That's the vibe your trailer is gonna send out to people who have no idea wtf PlanetSide is; Japanese detergent... pussy farts. Will make about as much sense as I am now. Dang. You people and your cinematic trailers. Just all get together and make a bloody movie or web series or something xD
But thanks for the gameplay video, was good to see the game again. I had little butterlies in my stomach when I saw the random explosives and tracer fire going everywhere. Can't wait to see a fight with hundreds of people in the same station. Oh, and thanks for pointing out you have to train into the squad drop, made me feel better that people won't abuse it. And also thanks for reminding me how far gameplay still needs to go before it's realistic, like damaged aircraft need to smoke an excessive amount if hit in the right spot. Didn't want to resurrect the Prone topic, and this is an (interesting) interview some of you might have not seen. 6:52. Bipod Attachment " Bipod : Portable shooting platform attachment " Prone oriented item? |

Forgive me if this was answered somewhere else, but is there an option to stop the minimap/compass from spinning around? I would rather North always be on top (and I don't really understand why anyone would like it the way that it was shown in the video, but different strokes I guess). Personally, I find it much easier to tell where you are in relation to what when those "whats" are always in the same orientation. Similarly, I find it easier to call out directions to fellow players when I know that regardless of which way my character is pointing in the world, North is always on the top of the map.
So yeah, anyway to lock the map/compass? |
