Shock and Awe

What was I doing? Long story. But to shorten it a bit....

My wife is a producer/general manager of a production company here in Albany, NY. We have a friend who was hired by the Albany ConQuest (arena football) as an assistant manager. This was the first year that the Conquest was here in Albany. They wanted to make a commercial that involved two rabid and crazy fans to attend the first home game. Well, I was one of the guys picked to do this. I had to dress up as a Roman Centurion and paint my face for this commercial. The General Manager came along with us on the shoot and he absolutely loved what we were doing in the commercial. He asked us to be at every home game to get the crowd revved up. We accepted and for each home game last year, I dressed up and banged that gong that's sitting behind me everytime we scored or needed some oomph to the crowd. By the end of the year, that gong was dented, badly, from us hitting it.

Sadly, this year I cannot participate. I work every weekend and that prevents me from getting dressed up. If you're from the Albany area though, go attend a Conquest game. In our first year we decimated all and achieved a division championship. Very exciting football.

I see no problem bumping this thread back up. Alot of people have come and gone, and age has ravaged at some people's faces. We need like a new thread for posting pics of the current community.

Or we could use this one still
