If the cloaking suit did not exist in this game, one could easily respond to its addition by using the exact same comments you are making. However, cloaking is balanced though exteme weakness and the inability to carry virtually any weaponry. I would think that something similar could be done for a jetpack.

Yeah I think I said that earlier... Just balance out anything you add into the game. Not easy but hey making games isn't always easy

case in point. i coulda argue all day long how lame cloaking is...and how newbies will all be running around cloaked and not doing anything and how its overpowered... etc

im not saying put a JP in game...but its an idea...it could be something for an expansions... its not all that terrible if you have an accurate depiction of what it would be like

(aka just dont think about Tribes/Tribes2)

I do think that jetpack infantry with a little limited boost to just get over walls, just like the Vanu MAX does would be a nifty idea. Just no DMey stuff

They have boats in BF1942... honestly, how many people use them? They make great artillery, but only when used correctly (funny!

), so pretty much the only thing boats are good for are taking out other boats.

I think it would dilute the game too much, spread out the playerbase over an already huge battlefield

The boats in BF1942 are horrible. Make something like in bloodwake. Fast gun boats that make for incredible water battles. BF1942 boats are slow, hard to maneuver and very very very very gay!

this is primarily ground based warfare...or land based i should say

and vehicles to accent the battle but everything starts and ends on LAND. boats would just not work
