@Endorphine You're in luck then! PS2 = Seamless persistent world... So does PS1 and you can play that right now...

Never did buy BF3, must suck to pay full price for a game that is supposedly not Pay to Play.. But still is.

i got battlefield 3, its ok. not the huge movie like gameplay i was hopeing for though.

I paid 20€ for mine on release day. Not a huge fan of the series or the game itself but for that price it has paid itself off easily.

THis was me playing on 360, so maybe PC didn't screw everyone over. But on 360 you have to have all the map packs to play on any server.

Not having Premium on PC just means you lose options for servers who have the expansion packs if you dont have them, this really isn't new so I don't know why people call this pay to win/pay to play etc.

Expansions have been around forever, how they are dealt with in this game is actually quite nice, there isn't a standalone program to launch. That being said I wish servers would stop the 24/7 or high ticket crap, that is what has stopped me playing after I basically unlocked everything in b2k and vanilla.

Yeah I love Caspian Border x64 and Strike at Karkandx64 but I don't to spend 3 hours on it, at least in Planetside when you fight for 3 hours it has meaning and you have a huge continent to move around in.

I'm glad they're using the Beta for what it is. Been looking forward to this game for years since playing the original and it seems to be exceeding my expectations. Great job so far to the developers at SOE.

So whether my friends and I get a chance at Beta or not, we'll be there upon release, tearing up the Smurf and Elmo population.

I purchased the extra maps for BF3, to me its like getting ready for PS2, kinda like a training ground. Most of the guys in my old PS1 outfit play BF3 alot, we call it getting in some training before the storm. Because when PS2 comes out were all jumping into the fray. I like BF3 alot, nice graphics and fun game play on x64 maps. Wish they made the squads bigger though. Quick question is the concept of training the same, like for example if I lvl up I get certs right to spend on sites and heavy barrels and stuff right.
