I doubt it. Sounds like a nerd with too much free time. Everything in the sci fi world and videogames sounds the same. After a while the sounds of the names are going to overlap. There's nothing new under the sun.

The Dune series of books is one of my favorite, and most dog-eared, of all my personal collection of books. I've reread each of the six existing books (and the three "prequel" books written by his son) at least twice, and most of them more like five times each. I look forward to the day that his son feels confident enough to finish the "Chapterhouse/Heretics" trilogy, as he plans to do.
On the otherhand, Auraxis and Arrakis have NOTHING to do with each other, despite being similar in name structure. Auraxis is a world with multiple terrain types, lots of water, and no sand worms. Arrakis is the home of the Fremen, Shai-Halud (sp?) and is arid as all get out. Despite the fact that the pronounciation is similar (oar-axe-is (PS) vs. air-uh-kiss or uh-rack-sis (Dune)) there are no other similiarities. So, in otherwords, I humbly suggest you chase conspiracies elsewhere. There are none here.

Thanks for the post Smokejumper. I also am a hugh fan of Dune and I must admit I probably mis-pronounced the name a couple of times due to that fact. I would like to again point out that any pronouciations made in the AGN recording are purely my own and do not reflect the views or opinions of SOE in any way. So please don't flame Sony for anything said in the AGN recording. It is a work of fiction for entertainment purposes only.

yeah another thing that separates the 2 worlds is that on one planet, the people kill each other for their water with pointy objects (literally the water in their bodies), and on the other planet, people use highly advanced technological equipment to fight for territory :x
