I just have to laugh at the people ignoring that there were quite a few Prowler outfits around...
Please, would someone, using NUMBERS show that the Prowler was worse? Show damage tables, show something. Half of the ones saying the Prowler sucked have not brought up any good argument why and are completely hinging their argument on the false assumption you need the 15mm to outdamage other tanks. If you are agoing to lie, at least support it with evidence. Last edited by Figment; 2012-03-16 at 04:46 PM. |

Yeah. There were. They managed to roll two or three Prowlers, on one night a week after people cleared their schedule. Or it was a theme night with big outfits. |

Sure, Figment. I tell you what. I'll do you one better.

We already knew that, but thanks for contributing a sum total of jack and shit to the discussion on whether or not the Prowler was a better tank than the Vanguard or Magrider. Try to keep on-topic, Einstein.

Firefly, those numbers have already been shown in this thread. On several occassions. Ignorance is not bliss, it's just stupid and deliberate self-delusion in this case. Would you like to confirm Buzz' statements though? You know, the person who thinks a Thunderer shell is fast and accurate?
Given his observations on that, I'm sure you find his judgment highly trustworthy? |

However the effectiveness of the Thunderer really isn't the topic of this discussion. |

And one more thing: "Good" MBT outfits?
My God, it's like walking into a Planetside Museum and viewing the "Years Before Everyone Was in a Reaver" exhibit. Last edited by Fortress; 2012-03-16 at 05:33 PM. |

Proving the prowler was worse is easy using numbers. 6 people required to operate 2 prowlers, 4 people required to operate any other tank.
Scale up and do the math, it'll show very quickly that they're ridiculously outnumbered in even battles because the enemy has far more tanks. More tanks means more shots fired at once, meaning more deaths before getting more volleys off. It meant fewer enemies could have an even fight against TR. |

Prowler perfect TTK on Vanguard (100m guns only):
4500/300 damage = 15 hits (clipsize: 20) => 15 * 1 second rof = 15 seconds Vanguard perfect TTK on Prowler (150mm gun): 4000/450 = 8.9 ~ 9 shells (clipsize: 10) => 9* 2 seconds rof = 18 seconds Magrider perfect TTK on Prowler (Railbeam only): 4000/215 = 18.6 ~ 19 shells (clipsize: 25) => 19 * 1 second rof = 19 seconds Prowler perfect TTK on Magrider (100 mm only): 3500/300 = 11.67 ~ 12 shells (clipsize: 20) => 12 * 1 second rof = 12 seconds So. Questions? |
