Two different, static models.

I like it, it doesn't have that silly face pressed up against the HUD feel that battlefield jets have. Although that red bit is a bit intrusive and out of place if its just going to remain blank like that.

#1: It's obscuring the view of the ground a bit, so I could do without the rectangular middle display. The rest of it is awesome, though. Gives me a feeling of a sports car.

Re: Mosquito Cockpit View (Higby Twitter)

I like the minimap change, much better.

My feedback on the cockpit is...

1) The orange rectangular thing just below the crosshair obstructs too much viewable space. Seems like this should just be removed.

2) the side struts curving down obstructs too much viewable space

Looking at the image of the mosquito:

It looks like the struts on the side of the cockpit are way off to the side in the look of the mosquito but they're way more invasive in the cockpit view.

At any rate those should be reduced in size. Too much view obstruction. The lower obstruction from the cockpit seems fine but the sides and that center block are too much.

yeah, would like a slightly wider FOV and smaller targeting/pitch/horizon HUD if nothing else just to fit the rest of the cockpit. but otherwise very awesome. So glad that they added 3d cockpits.

You could easily bake the whole cockpit from that screen on a lower poly mesh, and use that for the animations. Or use the cockpit as it is, seperate game object that just shows when enter/exit animation is happening.

Still, would need to do all those animations, and its still a good chunk of work to use those cockpits for the animations.

But who knows, i still want those animations. Gameplay already allows you to enter a vehicle spot when you are close to it (almost similar to PS). So its really just those animations.

You know what to do guys. Get me them!

The issue is they did not create the models with Panels and doors in mind. Let alone textures for the interior.

I think not having them is a mistake. I'm willing to wait another 6 months for a solid game.

But I digress. I was only answering that poster. Its easier to add two static models than go retrofit the current ones to have opening doors and the like.

I assuming the altimeter is reading from sea level and not the ground otherwise those trees are around 100 to 200m tall from the looks of things. Most ten story tall buildings are around 30m tall to put things into perspective. Either that or hes over a huge gorge. Still I hope the flight ceiling is based off ground level and not sea level.

It would be cool if your head had momentum. During a tight turn your head would sink lower into the cockpit, or if you suddenly dive your head rises a little. It would go a long way to make the cockpit feel real, rather than just a graphic.

Everything about that screen is awesome. Might not be using 3rdPOV in aircraft a whole lot.

Hope that's the bio-lab they picked. It looks sexy :]

Who cares about the cockpit... colored minimap?? YES!!!

Edit: Oh, and the cockpit looks sick too... But the red box in the middle? What is that used for. It better be used for some life-critical information, otherwise rip it out and give me more V-RES.
