I hope the interior of these facilities is functional. The bio lab appears to be; the AMP station looks like it's just for show. The tech plant looks like it could go either way.
But this confirms earlier suspicion that the mesh we saw of this facility was in fact a tech plant. Looks like one big air term at the top (galaxy?), not sure if the other platforms at the top are for ES aircraft or if its just the one. Ground looks like 3 places to create vehicles, but don't know if any of them are entry points into the facility itself. |

I think a lot of the major structures are going to look mobile. From what Smed said long ago they are "landing struts"
I suspect their long-term plans are to make it more sandbox and allow some (or all) of the facilities to be deployable. They might even be destructible. Lots of things they can do with that, but if they look like they're mobile then allowing outfits to drop a facility or tower somewhere for a limited time is a bit more believable and makes more sense if the structures themselves look like they can be deployed. |

I'm sure its huge but with nothing to judge scale by it looks kinda tiny, maybe the smaller of the two doors will be able to fit half a dozen tanks through it side by side. If nothing else it looks like there will be much fighting through stairwells in this particular base given its vertical-ness.

Yeah, bases are huge now, these are just the main structures. There will be tons of smaller buildings, like we have seen, surrounding the bigger base structures, with walls surrounding those.
In PS1, all of the bases were pretty much the same. We had the different base types, which were then copy/pasted wholesale into every spot that base type existed, walls and everything. I can't recall clearly right now, but I think some of the metal crates and barricades were in different positions, and there were different positionings of pill boxes and towers around bases, but beyond that it was all identical. Now we have fewer main base types (at least at launch), but a lot more variety of how those same bases are implemented. Now the outer walls of each base seem to be able to be in a completely unique configuration for each individual base. The small buildings and structures surrounding the main structure can be uniquely tailored and positioned to give a unique flavor and feel. Bases seem to be able to be partially buried into cliffsides, etc. Really it should end up being a lot more diverse than PS1, despite having fewer basic base types. It also seems that they are actually putting some thought as to gameplay flow and balance into the map design, which was sorely lacking from PS1's bases. |

If I am right, this base is likely to be the TR one.
There was a base with the same look in the 2nd Gameplay video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KrA3L...ayer_embedded#! 4:55 |
