Please Malorn, nothing like that will ever happen. Not unless you repeal murder laws because, guess what?, killing people without their permission is murder and not euthanasia.
You'd also think someone who has been bitten on the arse so many times about false facts and assertions would emphasise fact checking from his workers. Especially about outrageous claims such as the dutch killing off their elderly. But no, he continues to spew them out. |

Malorn drank the Kool-Aid. Don't bother trying to reason with him. You may as well head over to Conservapedia and tell Andy Schlafly why the entire world doesn't revolve around absolute left vs. right, liberal vs. conservative, "wrong" vs. "right" paradigms.

What bothers me is that I often end up defending social democrats just because people like Malorn calls them communists. Even if I would never even consider voting Labour, misrepresentation of fact is so typical. :/
Then, when you do so, you are labeled a "minion of communism who wants to oppress people's freedoms". And when you do the opposite and debate with a communist or worse, an anarchist and defend differences in wealth and defend for instance moderate conservatives, you are labeled a "fat, capitalist pig who wants to oppress people's freedoms". Fun, fun. Last edited by Figment; 2012-04-20 at 07:01 AM. |

As I said before, you don't distinguish and call socialists just as easily communists as the other way around. A cow is an animal, but not every animal is a cow. Does make sense now: Hence your inappropriate arguments regarding (not) knowing what freedoms are and why you made that free market / capitalism argument earlier while supposing others are for state economies: you have no idea who or what you are talking about and just relate everything to distantly related things. Without being able nor willing to differentiate shades of colours, let alone shades of grey. |

Great Malorn. You just have no idea which states are authoritarian apparently. You presume too much. Social democrat ran states are not as authoritarian as you may think. Doesn't mean I agree with them (they spend and subsidise too much and use state money to get votes through project choices et all IMO), but they are nowhere near communist or even near South America style socialist who nationalise arbitrarily. One reason is a different built up of societies: elite vs poor and power distance is much greater in those cultures, the appeal of old school socialism is much greater there.
Really, nowhere near the same. Difference is not even subtle. |
