Obviously.

No I understand quite well. Its my money...Now its enough said.
And that's why you are a spoiled brat who can't imagine (or at the very least is too ego-centric to care) others have it far worse than you and you've been "lucky" so far to get away with (artificially) lower(ed) gas prices for decades.

So we ran out of "care" for US people complaining about "high" gas prices, when they're still lower than our prices a decade ago.

No, we're mostly paying taxes actually. Around 60-65% in our case.

Gas prices internationally per gallon (may 3rd 2008 prices, but you catch the drift)

1. Bosnia $10,86
2. Eritrea $9,58
3. Norway $8,73
4. UK $8,38
5. Netherlands $8,37
6. Monaco $8,31
7. Iceland $8,28
8. Belgium $8,22
9. France $8,07
10. Germany $7,86
...
111. USA $3.45

So sorry if I don't feel bad about the US paying around $4 a gallon and will call anyone a whiner and spoiled brat if they do.

EDIT: And yes, a large portion of those taxes were implemented by socialists. We do have some of the best road, harbour and railway infrastructure in the world partially because of the added state income though (ranked 7th in the world by rediff business, after Hong Kong, Germany, Singapore, UK, France and Switzerland)

So I'M the ego-centric one who doesn't care? Look at what you wrote!

I'm an advocate for lower energy prices for ALL my fellow Americans. Energy is the life blood of the worlds economy.

Of course you don't care that American's energy prices are going higher. You can't miss something you've never had.

You're wasting too much energy as is. I don't care for you not innovating enough to be more economical with the energy you got because it's so cheap you rather waste more than be more efficient with it.

Hello Japanese car industry.

I forgot Gingrich was still campaigning. Apparently he dropped out.

If you want to just make quick gains you can drill up all the oil, though there's no real backing that drilling lowers prices or helps anyone other than the oil industry which is already flourishing. I'm surprised that video didn't mention nuclear which (along with thorium reactor research) is a strong direction to energy independence rather than toying with transient energy sources. That and I get a strong "this was funded by oil lobbyists" vibe from that video that they're trying to stifle investments in other technologies.

To make this clear it's important to look as energy as a grayscale. You can get energy from tons of sources without creating a single point of failure.
